    My two favorite Monkees related tidbits:

    -Seeing the Monkees TV show episode with Frank Zappa. At the end of the show, Zappa and a couple of the guys bashed away at this old car with tire irons (or hammers maybe?). Funny as all get out.

    -Any time my wife tells the story about how she went to see the Monkees in 1967 in L.A. and the band that opened for them was The Jimi Hendrix Experience. She was there! Wild!
