I didn't go, but dled the webcast & watched it. It looked flippin rockin' from the start of Why Go. I certainly think it would have been worth $80 from what they played.

Anyways my favorite moment was when Vedder said "Made it to Chicago, had a joint in a tree."

Yours?

  • I only watched it on the webcast as well. I thought the whole show was excellent, they had so much energy. It was especially see Stone really getting into it.

Anyway, the highlight for me was Rearviewmirror. It really exploded.

I was at the show and all I can say was the last time I felt energy like that at a venue was at PJ Soldier Field and RATM in N. Illinois. I thought the whole show was just high energy and I loved every bit of it. BP Amoco song and Education get my highlights.

my GF said that his new guitar is the one that sears and roebuck sold in the 60's for like 20$ and i guess they are worth a ton now. i did not verify this info as i am sure there is some guitar nut on here that can elaborate.

The first few drumbeats of Education. Also the Given To Fly shout to Chicago.

    RITFW was good too.

    1. Education, I didn't believe they were playing it when they started it. When I think about about I get chills. I NEVER thought I would get to hear it.
    2. Daughter with the Pink Floyd tag, now I guess its a HUGE deal. At the time I thought it was perfect b/c everyone in the fucking crowd knew the lyrics.
    3. One word - Rodman
    4. Stoney- he killed, new appreciation for him. Not for you was amazing.
    5. Crazy Mary and actually having a bottle wine! I only got like 3 drinks but we got everyone around us in on it. So perfect.

Such an awesome show, I still think the SF trilogy were better shows. But in terms of memories nothing will beat Lolla.

I was there and I've gotta say, yeah, the energy level throughout the show would have been through the roof had there been one. I've seen 100's of bands play but I can only remember feeling THAT level of excitement in an audience a handful of times.
The show was full of fun, memorable moments like the Fuck BP chant and the singalong to the beginning of Betterman with Eddie's (censored) comment afterward "Fucking Beautiful!" but Why Go sticks in my head because the whole crowd was completely flipping out (and possibly because it meant my 9 hour wait was finally OVER). RITFW was another highlight. Total mayhem on and off stage.
    What a night.

aside form the PJ set which was one big highlight (fireworks included)

EV appearance with KOL was the biggest adrenaline rush all weekend for me.
Great song and they kicked it

One highlight for me other than Pearl Jams show was the run to the stage with the Star Wars theme song blasting and the workers cheering us on...it was an experiance that I'll always remember!

Opening with Why Go was an awesome moment for sure, especially after waiting so long and the crowd was so excited.

Loved singing every word of every song, but the poor people in front of me who knew none of the songs had to listen while i screamed every word in their ears.

Rearviewmirror was amazing, i think one of the best versions ive ever heard.

The energy was so high the whole show that now it seems it was all one moment.

yeah realizing they were opening with Why Go, standing in disbelief they were playing Education, and getting Not For You. Watching Ed basically lay on his back while holding the mic, don't know which song that was... i need to watch the broadcast again!!! :D:D Lighting up when they started Give to Fly!!!

When the crowd starting singing "Alive" during the encore break, then Ed walked out on stage with a HUGE smile on his face...he looked so touched and pleased...and started singing with us. That was so awesome.
Was it "Made it to Chicago, smoked a joint in a tree", or "smoked a joint in the street"? I've listened to it 3 times and I can't tell.

Yes that was a wonderful moment. I've wanted to hear that live for so long! We screamed, grabbed each other and jumped when we trusted our ears. (me and my kid!)

Looking over the crowd, the chicago sky, perfect
  • Aside from PJ's set it had to be when Eddie went on stage with KOL, that came out of nowhere and it was an awesome song.
  • Why Go is the favorite moment for me too.... absolutely insane atmosphere when the band hit the stage

Other highlights for me was finishing that run through Grant Park when doors openened and getting to the rail knowing I was first row :D awesome feeling!

Also stone acknowledging my girlfriend's poster... education... dennis rodman...

    great show!
  • Yeah! Stone acknowledging my poster!!! And as sad as it was... after the show... this feeling of such awesomeness... pure bliss about the show, the day, the weekend!!!! I will never forget that.

I don't remember the music, but I remember one dude screaming "second wind, come on ruuuuuunnn", then a guy further down "give up, all is lost, stop already". I hope they enjoyed it...I nearly puked and died!! I would've preferred Territorial Pissings as my running, theme music.
