I don't know if you were at any of the shows but at each and every show, there were cameras and mics strategically placed. I know SD1 last night was shot from the back of the house.
I was there in LA, but not near enough to notice. A DVD would definitely cheer me up. I kept thinking I would have an audio boot of the show to listen to when I got back home. Didn't know they wouldn't be allowed.
You could just take the easy route and do those 'other' three things at once Ed showed us at LA 1, haha!
damn I think I missed some good chatter from Ed in not going to that show. I hope a recording comes of this show so I can one day know what the hell yer talking about haha.

i have some bad news. HARD SUN ended the show! no other songs. i was hoping for some more too but i think they ran out of time!
This was a really great show from listening the times i did on the cell.
THANK YOU 1VEDHEAD for the relay! You rock and i am so glad to know you!
I just thanked her via text.
Great tour.
Now it's on to the East coast where I'll be closely monitoring everything from .... my laptop. :( But those who are going to those shows, have a great time.

Wow exactly the same ending as last night. I thought for sure with reports of extra buses and stuff that Ed had some surprises in store.
Oh well...still sounds like a great show.
Thank you soooo much for doing the relay Kpearljammer and please thank 1vedhead for me too...I've been sick and this totally made my night...thank you soo much.

so when i try it out, and you ask where i learned all that kinky stuff i can say
"well, eddie vedder taught me"
ohh ohh, i can do it while the SD1 Barry White/Ed sex song is playing in the background....what was it now "i want to lick you like an ice cream cone?"
hahaha alright folks.
What a killer mini-tour. Any man that can carry a two and a half hour show through some of the most pretentious and annoying crowds deserves a metal. Good times!
OMG. just found out what the first song was. holy shit.
BELIEVE YOU ME (Bad Radio)
Holy crap! Not cool! My girlfriend's going to be pissed in the morning. Missing I Am A Patriot last night got to her already, but this.... Thanks for the relay
great tour, I'm so happy Ed finally did it, he's such a great songwriter, I understand his sensibilities, and why the ppl yelling out ridiculous song requests like Deep. It has some humor to it, but I think he wanted the intimate experience. I got it regardless in Santa Cruz, Berkeley II, and Santa Barbara. I feel very priviliged, lucky, and yes spoiled. How lucky are we all.
not sure of all the fan stuff for these shows, but I got ahold of one, and the quality is far beyond what I expected. Got to find B II though, with Ben and Mike.
great relay thread all, that's for the fun.
good night to all
"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)
no joke. just updated the setlist. Cell phone was cutting out during that song (1st song of 1st encore) and i couldn't make it out.
I know the song so i would have known it if i heard it a little clearer!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always thought that it would be a nice song to play. of all the Bad Radio songs, of course there's Better Man and then Believe you me that i thought would be quite playable at a show these days.
"Played the syntesizer again and used his low voice while a masked Condi Rice and George W. danced and jacked eachother off"
and Jazz.........you shoulda bought that ticket!!
"Emile Hirsch, guest singer on Hard Sun. Played Forever Young for his mom's birthday and had the spotlight on her. Joked she must have paid a scalper for good seats."
Thanks matt

I threw this info in the first post so people don't have to wade through 18 pages of chatter to get that info! hope ya don't mind! tell matt thanks for the details! nice!

Probably someone has already made these corrections, but the setlist also included:
Her Majesty (Beatles)
Sean Penn
Lucifer's... Lament? ("Barry White" song with George W. sucking off the Devil)
such a great fucking show, holy shit!

Believe You Me was maybe like the first chorus of it but when he played it i was so stunned i didn't even clap before he went into no more. it was unreal to hear even a small bit of that song
Alright i got 1VEDHEAD relaying some info. Right now Ed is onstage and just starting with Walking the Cow and Around the Bend (big surpise, huh.) He's in his white pants (the ladies i know seem to be keen on that.... lol SID!). He made some comment about people's asses before ATB. I'm sure ed will be in full form 2nite and cracking the jokes again.
CONFIRMED SETLIST:
MAIN: Walking the Cow, Around the Bend, I am Mine, Dead Man, Man of the Hour, Setting Forth, Guaranteed, No Ceiling, Far Behind, Rise, Millworker, Goodbye, Broken Heart, Soon Forget, Don't Be Shy, Here's to the State of Mississippi, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Trouble, If Ya Wanna Sing Out - Sing Out, Forever Young (see note below), Porch
1st Encore: BELIEVE YOU ME (Bad Radio), Society (w/ Liam Finn), Throw Your Arms Around Me (w/ Liam Finn), I Used To Work In Chicago (snippet), LET MY LOVE OPEN THE DOOR, Lukin
2nd Encore: No More, Hard Sun (Liam on drums, Emile Hirsch guest singer) (show over! 2 1/2 hours!)
Ed chat: After WTC (some comment about people's asses?), After Dead Man (West Memphis 3 talk), After Rise (Trestles talk), After Millworker (some Ed "funny talk" - cracking jokes), After Broken Heart (asking the crowd for ideas), FOREVER YOUNG (played it for his mom's birthday and had the spotlight on her. Joked she must have paid a scalper for good seats, After No More (a quite lengthy chat, hysterically funny - Played synthesizer and used his low voice while a masked Condi Rice and George W. danced and jacked each other off)
Ha, Mike! You did the relay. Awesome.
I was at work this morning when Jason called me from the show!
I heard him and someone else and then the crowd laughing and a bit of happy birthday, lol
I was confused and had no idea what happened there, but Jason kinda explained to me later.
Hope he won't mind me quoting him from my FB wall, but this is funny and its actually a fanview, so:
"Ed says that's it's his mom's bday on the weekend and asks us to sing happy bday to her on the ukelele. This is when I called you because I promised to throw my phone on stage. Turns out his mom was in the crowd so the put a spot light on her and everyone start clapping and wishing a happy bday to her. So Ed says how sweet we all were and puts down ukelele and says that there was no need to sing to her.
This was when I was on the phone with you telling you that Ed is about to sing something to you. Meanwhile, there was guy that says something I think was "who's that on the phone?" And one of my friends yells out, "That's Jason" while Ed is saying Happy Bday. After the encore, he says something like "theres a guy here named Jason, It's his bday. Happy Bday!" I thought that was pretty funny... ya, i'm drunk.. what show.. i could explain more in detail later"
