I'll preface this by saying I had tickets to all 3 Carolina shows, and with the Raleigh cancellation, I was really bummed (but I understand the reason and am past the anger/denial/acceptance phase). I'm originally from Charlotte, but moved to Houston for my job and figured that 3 shows would be worth a trip back to see them/neighbors/friends/etc. It was a bummer to only see 2 shows and at Columbia I wasn't really excited for the show. I didn't listen to PJ for a week after Columbia, but heard Hail, Hail on Lithium on SiriusXM and knew I had to go back. As much of a disappointment it was for me, they did the right thing and I knew it all along. This band has been my passion for 25 years (ask my wife) and I hope they continue to be. So with that, a heartfelt thank you to Pearl Jam for standing up for what's right.
