How epic is Wrigley going to be? How much more do they have to give?

With almost every night of this tour getting better and better, it almost seems impossible that they can top the previous performance, and yet they keep delivering. Holy shit what a great set list tonight for Toronto. Makes me wonder what's in store for us at Wrigley with the boys closing this tour out on Eddies home field of his beloved Cubs. Getting really pumped.

Well, I'll be there from Long Island on the 22nd, so you have that going for ya, too ! Got shut out of MSG I&II so, I'm combining a visit to the wife's sister & hubby's houseboat on Lake Michigan. Had to do the legit scalper thing, but the tix ain't all that bad (Sec 222) and they were half of what I would've had to shell out for nosebleeds at MSG. Plus I get to hang out in Chicago, on the Lake for a week. Chicago is so cool !

It's going to be insane! You're right, the shows on this tour have been incredible. My wife and I were at Greenville and my son and I went to Lexington. We can't wait to see what Eddie and the boys pull out for both Wrigley 1&2. Have a great show everyone!

I'll have to ask speedy..but I'm hoping for just a regular set mix and not an album. I'll take it and be pleased I'm sure but I'm hoping for the normal monster rock show.

It is obvious that the set lists have been chosen very purposefully. Whether it be rarities (just about every show), whole albums (Philly2, Greenville, Toronto1), or just feel-good greatest hits (MSG2).

We all know Fenway will be new and unique and special........

But Ed's heart and soul is in Chicago and at Wigley!! Those two nights will be unlike anything else ever! The rain delay of 2013 dampens that show a little bit, and I'm sure the band feels there is unfinished business to attend to.

That Saturday and Monday will be magical!!

Awesome point. Do you think the rain/Lightning delay is still in the back of their minds, and feel they owe something special to the fans?

Well if we combine that factor with Wrigley closing out this years tour, than Holy Shit are these going to be some epic nights to remember. To the point I hope it becomes a blu ray release. Hopefully they play for 4 hours each night, extra innings. (wishful thinking)
  • After reading the fanviews in the Binaural show I think everyone should set appropriate expectations. They are not going to play Riot Act front to back at these stadium shows. Expect great shows with varied set lists. Expect some rare gems, expect maybe a cover that was never played before.. but for the love of god expect some hits. I don't want to hear any of you crying that they played Given to Fly, Corduroy, or Alive at a Stadium show! If that is going to shock you then reset your expectations or stay home.

Absolutely well put. As much as I would love to experience a full album show, I don't think we should set our expectations to one. I think at this point, I would only love to experience a full album show just for the sake of saying I have. And quite honestly, the one I really kick myself for not attending was this years Greenville show. missed it by one show. But the truth of the matter is, the guys have been putting together one memorable night after another, to the point you find yourself asking "how are they going to top that one?" All in all, I think we are in for a tour closer that is going to leave us speechless.

I think each set of stadium shows are going to have their fair share of repeats, and unfortunately, that's going to piss people off. But there will be a ton of people traveling for only 1 show (especially with the day off in between), so......I assume they'll want to try and make everyone happy. Either way, these 4 shows are going to be tremendous.

All I know is I'll be at Fenway and will be giddy watching Wrigley through periscope :)

I think each pair of shows will be more similiar to PJ20.....other than the TOTD set each night (Hunger Strike & Reach Down), I believe there were NO repeats!

I hope you're right! Someone in the "mailed it in" thread talked about them being able to break up their "hits" and still cover a bunch of popular songs each night. We shall see. I'm happy to be in the building. Under 3 months away (for Fenway at least)!!!

Fun Fact: Neither GtF nor Alive were played at Wrigley in 2013.

It seemed like Eddie's entire life was building to playing Alive at Wrigley and it didnt happen... A mistake that cannot and will not be repeated.

No chance that Alive does not make its way on to a set list in Wrigley on a 2 night run.
