That's my thinking too. I've seen Waters three times and McCartney twice. And the others don't interest me.

$399 is the cheapest 3-day ticket price (GA), and it appears that they're also selling 1-day tickets for $199.

Saturday (Uncle Neil / Paul McCartney) will be the best one, in my opinion, but come on -- the Stones, Waters, The Who, Dylan, plus Neil and Paul in the same venue together? Yeah, they're old and probably not what they "once" were (certainly true of Dylan), but still, that's more rock royalty than has ever been collected at one place/time.

I'm definitely going. Can't wait to see how this goes. The possibilities of collaborations alone is already blowing my mind.

Saturday definitely tempts me. Old or not Paul still puts on one of the best shows out there. And Neil is Neil.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Definitely going to try to make it. The Who are playing Staples Center in three weeks so if they were paired up with Dylan, I'd gladly skip that day. Unfortunately they're not and Dylan's paired with the Stones, who are still atop my bucket list.
    Hope I can do it.

It would be very cool if Paul brings out Ringo, Julian Lennon and Dani Harrison. Closest thing we'll get to a Beatles reunion.

I'm tempted to go but the biggest hold back will be the crowd. I was just at Paul McCartney a couple weeks ago and the crowd was pretty lame. Seated most of the time and I'm assuming it will be the same way for The Who next week. My nightmare scenario is going to see all these amazing bands with a bunch of seated people sipping wine spritzers.

I'm considering the absurd splurge of Standing Pit section for the three days. My dad's in, I just need to decide whether it's worth that money.

That would be an awesome fucking experience. Personally, I could never justify spending $1,600 on it unless it was a group of my FAVORITE bands (rather than just a group of bands I like and am excited to see). That being said, all the more power to you if you decide to go all in!

    1. If it were local I'd shell out the $400 for this for the weekend. I think I paid $200 for the Stones about a decade ago and I needed binoculars to see the stage.

Years from now you can tell your kids the lineup, and that alone will probably make it worth it.

This is where I'm at with the worth the money bit. Originally thinking for myself but now that you mentioned your dad, I think my dad would love to come with me except he hasn't been to a concert in years, I'm not sure if he can do 3 nights of gigs in a row and he probably won't last in the pit!

Yep. Had the same problem at Paul a couple weeks ago. Security had to tell me to sit down. I was like, "Are you kidding me? This is an f'n rock & roll show!" I'd say 80% or more were seated. I, too have The Who coming up in a couple of weeks. I have pretty good floor seats ( 100 level for Paul) so I don't see it being a problem. At least, I hope it's not a problem. It's The Fucking Who!

I like your thinking and I agree it would be cool but I have to hold my stomach and laugh at calling that anything close to a Beatles reunion. Cool indeed though.

Hate when people sit at rock shows. Still upset basically the whole upper deck at the Eddie / Who show sat the whole show last yr. Wtf? Stay home and watch the youtube videos then. Same deal at U2 with upper deck seats behind stage at United Center. Luckily security was cool and upgraded us to lower level mid court for free. Not many great rock bands out there still touring/left. Get off your ass and enjoy it!!!

If you have Who uppers, most will sit. If you have Who lowers or floor, people rock out. I've never seen McCartney, but I plan to this summer.

A bunch of older rockers, playing in the home of older people who listened to said rockers in their heyday and now have successful careers. Will it be energetic? Nope. Will they be great shows? I think so!

I actually expected it to be more expensive, yeah the pit tickets are a bit absurd but considering this is a one time thing, with the amount of rock legends playing full sets that will probably never happen again... 399 for lawn really aint that bad. Even after fees youre talkin only $70 an act. Yeah you could probably get cheap seats to see each individually for less, but cutting the travel and logistics of it all down to one place makes up for that.
I spent a little over a $100 to see the Stones last year and was beyond impressed with their performance, well worth the trip. I may try for GA and hope to weasel my way closer...

Good points on ticket prices. I think travel/accommodations would set me back more than tickets.
