Although I'm new to this board, I've been a geniune Pearl Jam fan for 15 years. Many bands have come and gone in that time but PJ still remain the best, producing innovative album after album, never failing to impress me and reassuring my faith in music...

... I'm sure I share a similar taste in music as many of you when I say I've grown up on PJ, Soundgarden (Chris Cornell was amazing at the London Astoria the other night btw!), Nirvana, Faith No More, AIC, Metallica, Pink Floyd, RATM, Led Zeppelin, Foo fighters, RHCP, etc...

...However, one thing that has always amazed me and still remains true is that there is something very special about PJ fans. I know what it feels like to be a real PJ fan yet I have only ever seen then live 3 times and have never joined 10c. It's amazing that how you can feel the magic, through nothing but the music.

Anyway, getting to the point, I was lucky enough to buy 8 tickets to the upcoming Wembley show but I only need 2. As a genuine PJ fan, I can't bring myself to put the other 6 on eBay and make other genuine PJ fans pay over the odds for tickets which they unfortunately missed out on at general sale...

...As you can image, I could make a huge profit on the 6 tickets I have spare but feel I want to honour that special vibe that PJ fans have and give something back for the love of their music...

I have...

2 tickets in Block S11 Row P
4 tickets in Block S13 Row W
2 tickets in Block E3 Row A

... I am undecided on which 2 to take for myself, S11 or E3, as I have not been to Wembley arena in a very long time...

I will sell the other 6 at FACE VALUE (plus booking fees etc) which works out to a total £41 each per ticket.

How I decide who gets them I have not yet decided. I could just sell them to the first 3 people who want a pair but this may not be fair if other fans are not online at the time.

As there is only about 3 weeks to go, I know I need to decide soon. Any ideas on how I should choose are welcome?

looking at the seating again, maybe E3 is actually better than S11.

did you get those from Stargreen? (they told me they send out today ..will see when I get home).

as for choosing..that's really your priorities but that's how I'll get about it if no-one I already know wants the 2 I'm due to receive imminently:

    - priority to home show i.e. someone living in the UK. Nothing against visitors, I've got plenty staying at my house ;), but it's so frustrating if you cannot get tickets to your home show. Plus if you live in the UK yourself, it makes transactions far easier.
    - priority to someone with a track record here or Red Mosquito or Youkan, etc ..in brief someone with a documented interest: don't want a scalper getting their hands on my babies . That said, one of the person getting a 10c I arranged was new here..but he convinced me ;)

Not that I'm likely to have to do that: already got a list of people wanting a look at them (I don't know where they are yet) :)

Hey, how you choose is up to you but I have plenty of friends looking for
    tickets so I'd take 1, 2, 3 easy.

Best put the word out among your closest friends first though.
I had 6 for Dublin last year and friends and family used them all.

Hi, i did pm you 2 days ago-don't know if you read it yet,but as I said I would love to take 2 of the tickets. I had a 'mare on the phone to Wembley, at 9am the automated voice was telling me there were no tix available so I assumed they sold 'before going on sale' and eventually made arrangements for Madrid instead. However the thought of Wembley is very strong with me now, and I was offered 2 for £100 on the board last week but they were separates. Please contact me if you still have 2, I'll plead my case to you if you like. Begging you, JUK.
p.s, if you live anywhere along the M4 corridor between Wales and London, I'll even give you a lift.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

    COYS!
  • Hi there , i,ve got my tickets , but i just wanted to say well done you! in these days of online touts its refreshing to know there are still some people out there who know what it means to be a fan!
  • Hi all,

Sorry I haven't replied to you all as I'm a very busy person (honest!)

OK, I've checked the thread and my private messages and would like to offer the tickets to 3 of the following people...

    Harrison
    PJGirl01
    jamieuk
    DEMON CLEANER
    Dave Brown

There is only a week to go (I can't wait!)... so this needs to get sorted ASAP!

I have 3 x 2 Tickets for sale so only 3 of you will be lucky! I use Paypal so there is an easy way of doing this and a slightly harder way of doing this if you want me to do it via eBay (for your added security).

I assure you I am a genuine, trustworthy PJ fan and will be at the gig myself!

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    (1) Please post on this thread or PM me which tickets you want (see my initial post).
    (2) I will confirm with you if those tickets remain and if not will offer you a different pair.
    (3) You then transfer £85 (postage, costs, etc included) into my Paypal account.
    (4) As soon as the money has cleared I will post the tickets or meet you on the night to hand over in person.

    Easy!

Good luck and I'll try and check my emails as often as I can!!!

P.S. If anyone wants to offer a full copy of Atlanta 1994 WITHOUT all the Vitalogy songs cut out (the album hadn't come out yet I think!)... then that would truly help your cause ;-) Lost my copy years ago :-(

Ah, bollocks. Wish I'd seen this thread. I just paid nearly £150 for a ticket, last week.
  • OK, so I can't even sell face value PJ tickets on the PJ message board yet people want to pay over the odds on eBay... well I made my attempt.

Time is running out for me and I need to break even at least so I'm gonna have to put these on eBay now!

Gonna put them up at face value. Just hope some tout doesn't buy them and sells them on at a profit!
