    It was a Sub Pop night event during the CMJ Convention. And I was laughing too. makes me thing someone saw this thread :)

    Yes I'm checking out some of your posts JP cuz you said you put some details of early shows in.  And YES I'm now BESIDE BYSELF with envy because, not only were you at this showcase, the freakin' AFGHAN WHIGS who I LOVED THEN were on it too???  So. Very. JEALOUS!  And happy, always happy, but damn, to have been in THAT ROOM!

    That said, I did see Uncle Tupelo open for the Afghan Whigs, and the White Stripes open for Sleater Kinney, and Mudhoney and Iggy Pop open for Pearl Jam, so it's not like I'm a deprived fan or anything.  Ok, jealousy wave passed now, now I just want to hear all about all of your early shows and your EPIC experiences (literally and figuratively)!

    Too funny that he doesn't remember it at all! I'd guess between nerves and excitement, it would just rush by and be hard to remember after all these years...

    Cool though that he mentioned it, I wonder what triggered his thinking on it? ;)
