The problem with playing Vitalogy back to back is: Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me

does anyone really want to sit through 7 minutes of this? what a buzzkill that would be after Immortality, maybe they could play it over the PA while they are getting set up on Stage before the first song, they must have been on LSD or mushrooms to write this

    1 - why is this something to worry about? Not like Ed's gonna dress as the woman releasing hurt in that song.
    2 - Acid or other mind-altering stuff - see Bill Hicks, intro to Third Eye.

    Maybe they could do a shortened version like they do with I'm open, I could be wrong but I don't think anyone wants to here all the spoken word live. It's just amazing that this band continues to get better with age like a fine wine.

    I would LOVE to hear I'm Open! Push Me Pull Me has a similar vein and has translated live pretty well.

    And hell, look at Arc. We were fortunate to hear it live first time played - BEAUTY.

    They skipped Red Dot didn't they? Why not skip this. If they had to maybe play a small snippet to make the hardcore happy and then move on to the rest of the show.

    Isn't Red Dot a Jack song? As in he wrote and sang it? Maybe they feel it's his, in a way - as in, not theirs to play.

    as someone who has done a lot of acid and shrooms, it has no negative effect on my view of the band, but you have to admit it is a very strange musical experiment

    I thought they played it over the loud speaker before they started the show

    Don't get me wrong I liked hearing I'm open in moline, just don't think the studio version would translate well live and I would love to hear push me pull me. And yes we are all crazy.

    I just think that Immortality is the way to end it, and in an effort to make it a better show for the fans if they skip To, Pry and Foxymophandlemama, That's Me, then that's okay

    Disagree. They have a long ending to that song anyway. Just extend the jam a bit more and it would be even more awsome

    The youtube video says "with lyrics" I actually would like to know the lyrics. They are hard to understand in the song.

    Vitalogy minus the 2 joke songs, with Immortality ending the main set, would be so fucking epic, maybe they could play those two musical experiments over the PA before they take stage, then everybody will start buzzing and create more excitement as word spreads through the arena, and Immortality is such an epic way to end the first set

    Stupid Mop is a 'sonic collage.' Also, I don't have it on any of my music players. It's the only track I've ever excised, because it just doesn't fit anywhere.

    I think that would be the best option with Foxy & To, Pry, I do think most fans would want to hear Aye Davanita, so they will probably have to practice up on that one, if they can do Bugs, they can do AD

    That's not a bad idea. It would be a nice throwback for the elder hardcore.
    It certainly would be unexpected and a first for anyone.
    FM in the background before opening with My Fathers Son and then play Vitalogy would be a refreshing opener and a boot for the keeping like you said.
