Eddie & Ernie At Wrigley Picture

I am wondering if you can buy the Eddie and Ernie Banks picture from Wrigley. The photo is online, and is ok, but small. I was hoping to blow it up and hang in my office at work, but the resolution would be terrible if enlarging. Here is the image from the cubs website:

Any ideas who the photographer was or if you can purchase it in large files?

I have the original signed I bought from Cubs Charities and I would be curious who the photographer is...it is not Danny Clinch.

I once called the Cubs Charities trying to find out any information on this print and they barely even acknowledged its existence. Unfortunately they would not give me any info whatsoever.

That was shot by Stephen Green – he's been the official Cubs/Wrigley Field photographer for years and years. Here's his site – the photo is in the index list of his portfolio:

As a career journalist, I'm not endorsing swiping it from there and printing it to use as your own. That said, I can tell you that a screenshot of it should ... SHOULD ... produce an image of roughly 12x8 at 150dpi, which really is right on that borderline of acceptable quality for that size. That it's black and white would kind of help.

I don't know if he sells his prints or not. He might not technically be allowed to since if he shot it for the Cubs/Wrigley Field, then it might be the team's property. But his contact info is on the site and you could reach out. I know him to be a good guy, and he's an excellent photographer.

Love that picture. With the shows at Wrigley coming up again this summer, maybe Cubs Charities will do more prints to raise money.

What a great day to be the owner of this print, IMO the rarest and perhaps most sought out piece of the bands existence.
