You are right. Still not buying. Need money for framing.
I'm still not buying either Just curious as to whether anyone was picking a set up. It's attractive from a rarity standpoint, and I think that some of them will look good, but I just can't afford it at the moment.

You can buy $350 worth of Obey and have instant 'rarity' value.

It often seems as though those "in the business" aren't very good at "business"
I guess if I knew my product would sell out instantly the moment I put it up I'd be trying to bring it out ASAP. But it almost seems like there's a big "tease" with it.
There's always something wrong. One of the artist's puts up a thumbnail portion of the poster and it will say preview "coming soon". Then it seems like months before you even get to look at it.
Then what's up with that guy from Austin that says he's going to be selling his posters soon. They're from 2005 and still not for sale.
Yeah. A couple of weeks ago someone commented on one of the Canadian/White Stripes posters he did and RJ took exception to it. Don't remember which one but he was pretty pissed.

there's a couple of Raconteurs posters of his I'd like to have but not off Ebay for big $$$$.
I can totally understand the guy is busy, especially with all the WS stuff he does...their website, posters, etc....but Christ, the guy can do what any other artist does, hire some people to put some posters in tubes and sell them.
I would add him to my list of "favorite artist" if I could just buy a damn poster from him.

I went and looked up the WS and it was actually one of the Raconteurs posters. I think it was the one that looked like a circuit board. I look for it then post.

The following lot consists of a one time reprint concert poster done under the supervision of the original artist, Jim Franklin and signed by him in the spring of 2004 for the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture. This is not to be confused with the origal photocopied 11" x 17" but this is rather a larger format Silk Screen print on heavy stock and is signed and numbered in an editon of a scant 125 pieces.
This high quality Silk Screen poster measures 18" x 24". Artwork for this poster was done by the hand of the legendary Jim Frankiln for two Bruce Springsteen concerts which took place at the legendary Armadillo World Headquarters in March of 1974.This is printed on heavy natural stock. This concert poster is a great historical artifact and again is from a hand signed and numbered in an edition of only 125! Condition of this poster is new & unhung, near perfect mint.

this site is supposed to be about posters
but no mention of klausen and his site
or ames for that matter
they have 124 items under "Tags" and lots are artists... but nothing PJ
oh well
they have 1 item about Lee's Wave art print poster
