    From PNE
In the interest of public disclosure...

We, the members of PNE, are very disappointed to announce that pivotal aspects of the Wishlist Foundation/ CCFA/ Pearl Jam poster series have been significantly compromised. Original agreed-to specs for this project were suddenly altered by certain entities only one day before images were to debut. As information was presented to us last Saturday, June 9th, 2007, we were NOT willing to agree to these new changes. As 70% of the total artwork for the series has already been completed, to conform to these newly imposed changes would've literally meant starting over from scratch on the majority of these illustrated pieces. This being the case, we feel it necessary to withdraw from this project.

Please do not misunderstand this as us having an issue with Wishlist, CCFA, or the band members of Pearl Jam: none of these parties are responsible for altering certain agreed to terms of this series. Both Wishlist and the CCFA were very excited about this opportunity for us to work together, as evidenced by their gracious statements in the original press release. Again, we also have no problems with the band Pearl Jam, and know that they were excited about the project, as evidenced by their appreciative comments in the same mentioned press release. All three members of Post Neo Explosionism were very interested in doing this project. All three of us have made sacrifices of our time, including waiving our usual artists fees. It was important to us to make time for this, though it involved a lot of work: Hampton busy hammering out the specifics of the upcoming QOTSA series and completing two commissions, Jermaine in the middle of a poster series contract with the Deftones and hosting a solo gallery opening in Colorado, and EMEK in Europe hosting two art showings himself. There were a lot of sketches, emails, and long distance phone calls from hotel rooms in Europe. We only mention these things so that there is no confusion about the desire we had to work on this project & help raise money for people who are suffering. There is no question: we WANTED to do it.

We apologize to all of you who were expecting these prints. We put much work into them and liked what we created, both individually and as a unit. Much time was spent on these pieces and it pains us to know that they will never see the light of day.

At a future date, PNE will create a collaborative art print, the profits from the sale of which will go directly to the Wishlist Foundation/ CCFA Northwest.

    Sincerely...
    PNE

Actually, I think you're reading too much into that.

I don't think many collectors know about them. Many people haven't even received an e-mail from Ames for some reason.

Plus, it's 200 prints rather than normal 100.

I actually like how this European set is developing.

if you're a "collector" then i'm sure you check here, BRY, eb, or RM on an almost daily basis for news... as well as have others that PM you when news breaks

My stupid wireless mouse froze up at home yesterday (I blame the wife as she was using computer at the time), haven't got that sorted out yet, and this morning I got Brad's email and my work computer won't open the stupid mim file.
So for me the riddle is: why do computers suck so?

No, actually, I received an e-mail from Ames.

I never check MP or RM for reliable information on posters. You are usually the last ones to know what's going on.

If you go to BRY, I think you'll find the information that supports what I said. Of course, most of you, especially Lou, seem afraid to visit over there for some reason. I think they make fun of you, Bostonlou. Sorry about that.

At any rate, the fact is the Canadian 05 sub took days to sell out, many people are still finding out about this one, and 200 is more than they usually try to sell.

you really shouldn't assume things joe... :)

I don't go to BRY often because I'm blocked from the site at work... it has nothing to do with being afraid

anyone who is afraid to visit a message board is a pussy ... BRY has a rep as not tolerating newbies or stupidity so maybe some people avoid it because of that... I avoid it because i have no choice... I'll go there at night from home but i do most of my posting during the day

I am well aware of my fanclub over there... and thier attempts to make jokes about me... so what... that's what I do on here to others... I rather enjoy bullshitting on message boards

the only problem is they're usually not very creative in their slams ... the main insult is that i frequent this place ... none of the cool kids come to the message pit you know

i wasn't talking about "you".. i was talking about collectors ... you said that they didn't know about the sub because of an email problem... i said the email problem wouldn't prevent them since they probably checked multiple sources.... anyway... the information eventually gets to all those sites i mentioned...

I go out and have a good day golfing and I come back to all this.

PNE cancelled, Ames sub still up after who knows how long, and a riddle from Brad.

Like others have said, I'd like to know who screwed up the whole PNE thing, for some reason, I think Santos has a hand in it. ;)

does band management have a say?

10c is in charge of all merchandise right?

Yes but the band and managemant have the final say of what goes out on the shelves. As seen with the Merriweather 96/S.A. Tour Posters. They were pulled becasue the band and management did not like the image!

I say it's time for an official thread asking how this all got screwed up and who's to blame. You have the honors Lou, or maybe Foxy/ECM could do the asking? Even though they more than likely know exactly who is responsible, they just have the class not to air it in a public forum. ;)

Maybe one of them could PM me who it was, I promise not to tell.
