10C seats now random?

I'm member 179xxx and we're sitting in section 113 row 18. Decent seats but we're usually about 10 rows closer. Wife says someone on facebook has a much higher number and they're 4th row in this section. Does seniority not matter anymore?

Is there still that site where people post their 10c numbers and seats? I remember seeing that like 5 years ago maybe.

In Greenville we were on the floor next to someone who has been in 10c for a long time. Seemed odd considering I joined last year

Maybe it deals with the priority of your choice when pick 10c tix.

My seats for Greenville were much better than Columbia. I thought that was odd since Greenville seemed to be more in demand when I registered for tickets.
  • OP I'm 162xxx and my seats have got worse pretty much every year, especially in '13. In Charlottesville the same thing happened to me. I was on the wing, Mike's side, the last row of the first section about 35 rows up. I was with Stubhub buyers and pretty much zero fanclub. Not bad seats, just decent. It might be worth it to just buy from TM or on the forum.

Has to be completely random. After I picked up my 10C Reserved yesterday I checked in with the box office and better seats than my 10C.

agreed, its a fair gripe, especially when given a historical precedent to compare. what i dont get though is running to the forum from your seat thats 8 rows too high 15 minutes before the show to complain. not the time really, take a breath, relax and get ready to rock...

That's funny...i dont think it's just the forum. I don't know who employs the people that work the ten club box office at shows...but at the 2009 spectrum shows i remember picking up my tickets and commented to my show buddy about how we got nosebleeds upon looking at them, and i got lectured by the ticket lady about how i should just be happy im in the building.

Another friend in the parking lot had significantly better seats he bought through the wachovia general sale.

Same here. 170xxx and was 113 row 16 last nite. 4th row other side in Jax and 9th row in Gville. So it is kinda weird, they are still good seats but it just didn't seem right. It is amazing how 10 rows can make a huge difference tho.

    FTL
    128xxx - Sec. 133, Row 8

    128xxx - Sec. 103, Row CC

    COLUMBIA
    170xxx - Sec. 113, Row 16

I can't tell where these sections are unless I look up the seating plans for each venue
Are they generally the 1st best section, or 2nd best section ?

Could you put - 1st best section - Mike's side - row xx
or 2nd best Section - Stone's side - row xx

My # is 531XXX so I don't have my hopes up for Reserved in Toronto, but just curious.

    Thanks!

I doubt it as in both FLL and Miami the same 2 great guys sat in front of us and the same 2 great women sat next to us in the same row on both nights.

Some venues now have PSL's.. (private seat license) This probably cuts out a lot of good lowers.

It also depends on 10c members going to the show. If more 10c with higher seniority go to that show the worse your seats may be. If you chose some off show where a lot of 10c members don't go to your seats will get progressively better. I don't think you can compare your seats based on where you are at one show from another. They also may be taking in to account your priority of your ticket selection. If I chose that as my number 1 and that was your 4th they nay be giving me the closer seats over you.

This is a good point. It would be interesting to know whether priority ranking is a factor in seat location. A previous comment mentioned PSLs - I may be wrong but I think PSLs are limited mainly to NFL and MLB venues (although the ACC in Toronto has them too). Having said that, I do think that the same theory applies for non-PSL season ticket holders in that they still get priority access to special events and can scoop up the better seats before we get our shot. That's the case in Ottawa anyway. And it makes sense when you look at Québec - there is no pro sports team in that venue (yet!) and it seems no one had a problem scoring 10c tickets for that show.

No complaints here or anything.. Just enjoy trying to figure these things out :)

The venue may not have PSLs but could still have season ticket holders and band guests. In 2013 we went to Seattle and many celebrities were in front of us in our section. Obviously bigger cities will have more of those so we were farther up in Miami.

I don't think they have the time to come up with a formula factoring in priority. Unless I see conflicting numbers and sections, I believe reserved is still by seniority.
