The old newsgroup is still around, I still check it every once in a while. There aren't that many posts about PJ anymore, it's mostly politics but a few of the old regulars still hang out there.

does anyone remember the name of the site - it had a cool forum - it was around in the early 2000's - and the dude running it just shut it down one day, with an infuriating letter of explanation that he wasn't into pj anymore, that he'd moved on to 'fresher' groups like, um, modest mouse, i think was one band he named in preference to the one he'd built a huge site about.
i mean i guess there's lots of dead pj sites, but not many go to the bother of trashing pj on the way out...

hahaha- no, I did not coin the term Jamily (though it'd be funny if I did...)!

HailHailPearlJam.com was a site I made waaay back in the day, but after having my first baby, simply ran out of time... nevermind the name that's listed- it was my alias at the time ;)

btw: i'm planning on getting her back up & running if anyone wants to join in!

I believe you are referring to Adam "Frooch" and pearljamnetwork.com. Great site, nice guy. Got me into Radiohead and White Stripes.

What the fuck is this world?
  • what about the old Garden of Stone page? I don't remember the exact address, but back in '95, that was one of the best sites. Ran by some dude named Caleb.

Another guy who was an engineer at Michigan at the same time had a good page up as well. That's where I heard Brother for the first time.

Does anyone else remember these sites?
