Sunk Enthusiasm
I'm experiencing serious empathy towards those whose show has been cancelled on them.
Remember the ice bucket challenge? I barely do too. This too shall pass.
But the punch to the stomach of all the fans, as well as us onlookers, is more personal, and will be more lasting.
The badge the band has chosen to wear no matter how noble vs. the sound of the notes not played for every person as eager as Iam was (and still--but only kind of am) to hear them ...plainly, the cost benefit falls to the floor
