Where to go between Hampton and Columbia?

Went to the show in Hampton and was planning on Raleigh and Columbia. With Raleigh cancelled does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or where to go the next two days as we make our way towards Columbia? Would prefer not a ton of extra driving so something somewhat in the direction of Columbia.

Any ideas?

Whatever you decide, I would suggest boycotting the entire state of North Carolina. Voting with your dollar is the whole point of cancelling the show, beyond the publicity.

Virginia Beach is nice and the weather is beautiful today

I suggested to someone else to visit Charleston. However, that's not on the way to Columbia. It's about 2 hours south of Columbia. Its not a terrible drive back should you choose that. If you're looking for something more on the way and wanting to boycott NC, the best I have would be Myrtle Beach. I'm not a big fan of MB though (too much of a tourist trap for my taste).

If you decide to just come on to Columbia, we have a really good zoo (Riverbanks Zoo) if you like that. Congaree National Park is close by, which is ok for hiking/walking and canoeing/kayaking if you like those activities.

77 degrees already here in North Myrtle Beach. Beaches are clean, drinks are cold,
And so you see, I have come to doubt

  • Well we spent the early part of the day at Virginia beach. And then decided to just get into the car and make our way towards Columbia. Ended up in Greensboro for the night.

We did hit up the outer banks for a night between Greenville and Hampton.
