What would it take?

I am curious as to what it would take after years of being a loyal fan, would turn you off? Stone kicking a puppy? Ed caught red handed molesting an African-American child? Perhaps Jeff Ament and Mike McCready being registered republican voters? Is this band infalliable of your support?

Hmmm....I wonder if this forum would still exist as a place to bitch if that happened?

I had a response typed out, but I actually need more time to think about this.
My initial gut would be that it would take alot.

    Bad music..pretty simple.

  • if they featured a saxophone on their next album
"...what a different life had i not found this love with you..."
  • if they featured a saxophone on their next album

or worse, they start experimenting with a saxophone live with most of their entire catalogue :fearful:

Come to think of it.....Binaural could use a sax, I always thought it was missing something.

If stone kicked a puppy I'd kick him in the nuts. And jaw. And kidney.
If EV molested anyone I'd hope his ass gets locked up for good.

Not even remotely concerned with their voter registration.

It's all about the music for me. I do not agree with Pearl Jam's politics at all...never have, never will. A rock band is not going to influence my world views...that doesn't mean I'm not a MASSIVE fan, because I am. I've spent piles of money seeing this band all over the world because I love the music, I connect to it, grew up with it, etc. That's my opinion, and we are all entitled to our own. At the end of the day it's entertainment, If I'm not entertained or moved anymore, I'm not buying the music, seeing the shows, etc.

Im not sure if it is possible. Its about the music and it is already out there along with many live show experiences. Cant really get all that back in the tube of toothpaste. Cant imagine suddenly hating the music. I get a little tired of it sometimes and take long breaks from listening, but I still enjoy it and always will.

it ruined the Pumpkins for me.....BC being such a D bag. But they also don't hold the same significance to me as PJ.
