Hi there!

Can you guys give me some thoughts on driving in tonight?

All of the directions to the theatre say to take the GWB.....however every time I go that way from jersey there is a ton of traffic. I'm not as sure of myself either.....upper deck...lower deck etc!

I am comfortable driving in Manhattan....went to school there for years.
I was going to take 10th/Amsterdam to Broadway all the way up....Am I crazy???

Thoughts please...oh I should hit the Lincoln tunnel around 3:15 :)

Tanks!
Lisa
How I choose to feel......is how I am.

  • Personally, I would drive in through the tunnel and take a train, that is what we are going to do... the GWB sux! and you never know what you are going to get in NYC... The only thing that has me and my boyfriend, second guessing possibly taking the GWB is that it is super close to the vene and it will be easier to leave at night. But if you are leaving early, I would guess you would have no problems no matter which way you go.

Just check the traffic, before you hit the city and decide the best route.

I would definately take bridge in regardless. The site is 12 blocks from the bridge. You will get off at 1st exit. I think both levels have the exit, I would take lower it is usually a little less crowded.

Even with the unpredictability of the GWB? I have gotten stuck trying to cross it for 2 hours once! and we arent leaving until 5 pm from western NJ... meaning that we will not be at the bridge until 6ish. What do you think?

Anyone know the availability of street parking in the area?
  • I think we're going to go the Henry Hudson even if the Cross Bronx is moving you have a better shot, my question is there a parking garage near the theater if so where?
    Thanks
