Ok..... we need some serious guidance/suggestions from all you Londoners on where to stay for the Wembley show!!
Which airport should we fly into?
Is the Portobello Hotel a dive or is it just trendy and eclectic??
Any other favorite hotels in the area??
And which area would that be??
I need answers!!!
Seriously .... would really appreciate some input!
Thanks in advance

and then walk down for the show
Heathrow is your best bet, half an hour outside the city, easy to get to and from central with buses, trains and if you're loaded cabs.
I don't know much about the Portobello Hotel, but Portobello Road is quite a funky, bohemian kind of street with plenty to do.
If you're dubious about paying too much the Farringdon Travelodge is the base of choice for most of the out-of-town jammers. Google it.
Hope that helps and see you at teh show!
Sound like I'm in the right area to stay......
I've heard the markets are a great stop too!
How about Savoy Hotel, Hotel 77, The Drake???
Any thoughts?
Again thx
See you at the show!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wahoo
savoy is one of london's classic hotels $$$$$$$$$$$ but very worth it
also the dorchester, browns, lanesbourough are terrific london hotels
if you are thinking of spending that kind of cash-around $600 per night
You're thinking The Savoy on the Strand!
is there another?
Of course.. piggy-backing on the name in the hope someone will make a mistake and come to their hotel!!
The one eddiewouldknow is talking about is called the Savoy Hotel.. see.. subtle difference! I've only ever eaten at The Savoy and used their toilets.. but I used to pass it every day on my way to work!!
oh well the Savoy on the strand is proper!
cheers mate
havent been to London in a couple of years
great city-miss it
Your talking about this Savoy .... right??

Sheesh. Looking at that, I get the sense that they'll probably charge me just for walking past the front door on the street.
