great song had it on thursday but don't understand why they are abusing it as an opener.

What I don't understand is why they would care more about people keeping score on a message board than about giving audiences a memorable experience and have a good time while doing it.

If you think the pleasure of listening to a great song is diminished by the frequency with which it is played then I am sorry for you and perhaps you should take a break?
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

It was quite a production, but we know it works b/c they did it in 03 for HOB. :)

yea, that was a pretty big production......but i would take a one or two cam webcast, hell even if webcast the audio with still photos would work forme.....kinda like what Wilco does on occasion....

HTI opener leaves door open for many openers at MSG

If you say they are abusing it as an opener you're definitely keeping score.

I'd love variety too, but if I get HTI as an opener at 2-3 of the next 5 shows I won't complain too much, although I'd obviously prefer HTI, Oceans, Wash, Sometimes, Long Road...

Well, it is kind of weird ... given that for a while it appeared they were going have a different opener at every show.

And now, the only opener than has been repeated is something super-rare like HTI ... and it's been repeated twice.

I'm not saying that's good or bad ... but you have to admit it's kind of weird.

I have a feeling you're going to get it every night. Apparently, it's the "every night" song off Self-Titled.

Not that I have a problem with that.
