Lucky. I don`t think there is a band that will ever top Pink Floyd`s greatness. I hate myself for not trying to somehow make it to 1 of his shows. He just did not play very close to me.

Thank you for sharing! I am soo upset I didn't see him in nyc this weekend.. I had 3 opportunI ties including a sunday.. He is 70 this year and he claims hes going to be quicker next time about getting new music out there but I'm not sure how many more opportunities he will have to tour

I was at MSG on Monday. Pink Floyd was my first concert on 7/4/77 when I was 14. Animals tour. On Sunday I met a guy two seats over who was there solo from Italy. This show was quite the experience. The guy sitting next to me was also a PJ fan. We shared PJ stories. It turns out we both were able to attend the 12/12/12 show where Eddie sand Comfortably numb with Roger Waters. So many people at the Gilmour show solo. That shows the devotion for that man's music. Gilmour plays as well or better now than he did in 77. Floyd rules!

Very well said. It says something when a 70 year old can pack MSG on a Monday night. My mother shed a tear that night knowing she will never see him again. Time to spin some vinyl again.

  • Was at the Monday show, what an experience. Really glad I went. A friend of mine went to the Radio City show on Sunday and last night and said MSG was way better. Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Run Like Hell and the encore alone were worth the $100 ticket. I really think his playing has gotten better with age and his voice is still insanely great for his age, I guess all his years not touring has helped. Incredible band he had with him too.

I actually wrote a review of the Monday show on Examiner.com, check it out if you'd like:

Saw the show Monday at MSG, as tired as we were just flying back from Florida, it was so worth it. I haven't had a chance to see Gilmour play since the Division Bell tour in 93, so this was a must see for me, all I can say is he is just incredible. If you still have a chance to see him do it, you won't regret it all.
