Set List

Walk On Music: It Happened Today-R.E.M. (starts at 8:27)
Band On Stage 08:30
Band Off Stage 11:14

01. Why Go
02. Mind Your Manners
03. Animal
04. Got Some
05. Corduroy
06. Love Boat Captain (with jam intro)

(Ed says hello to the audience saying had no idea they had so many friends and family here. He spots a young girl in the audience. He tells her not to go to sleep even though it is late. He is happy to see she is wearing headphones. He then teaches her that thumbs up is okay but extended middle fingers are for when you are older. Referring to the next song “This one is especially for our friends from Cocoa Beach.”)

07. Low Light
08. Red Mosquito (for Sean and Nash)
09. Hard To Imagine (for a gentleman named Bill who is a brain cancer survivor and for his wife and daughter)
10. Even Flow (during the solo Mike goes to the barricade and plays with his guitar behind his head)
(“This one is for the father’s, don’t get too excited. This is about the shitty ones…”)
11. My Father’s Son
(“you learn something for the shitty ones. This is for the daughters of the shitty fathers.”)
12. Daughter/Another Brick In The Wall-Part 2-(Waters)
13. Getaway

(Ed talks about his time as security guard in San Diego. In the early morning hours he was occasionally able to borrow a Ferrari or Lamborghini from the hotel valet parking and take it out for a very fast drive. While those cars are not something he would want to own he says they were fast and powerful. They still didn’t feel as good as being driven by Matt Cameron playing drums.)
(this is for all the folks that like to go surfing at midnight. I am one of them)

14. In The Moonlight
15. Jeremy
16. Do The Evolution

(Ed spots something in the audience. He tells the person that he will give it back to them but he asks if he can have it for minute. The object is a sculpture of a cow that sat on Stone’s amps for the first two years that the guys toured. Ed is delighted to see the cow again and puts it back on Stone’s amp for the next song.)(Update: the cow is actually from Karrie’s monitor board. Stone’s cow is at the Warehouse)

17. Blood

Encore Break One

(Ed starts talking about some painful losses he has had lately and notes that everyone goes through that. It is part of living. Things can swing from bad to good and back again.)
18. Pendulum
19. Off He Goes
20. Come Back

(Ed lists a number of sports franchises like the Red Wings, Black Hawks, Bruins etc but “we’ve never named an album after them. Cue the special effect!” At that moment the Tesla Coil in the Tampa Bay Lightning’s arena starts arcing much to Ed’s delight)

21. Lightning Bolt
22. Lukin
23. Porch

Encore Break Two

24. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town (played to the audience behind the stage)

(Ed talks for awhile about the veterans the know and have known. He talks about Tomas Young and the film and book about him and about how VA has systemic problems and hasn’t been forthcoming about the how they have been letting the veterans down. He talks about and finds Mike and Mike Jr. who run something called “Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch”. Ed says they will be donating money to the ranch from the show tonight. He sends a shout out to Pete Logan and his friends in the Navy.)

25. Imagine-(Lennon)
26. Wasted Reprise
27. Life Wasted
28. Better Man/Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling)
(at the end of the song Ed obliterates his white Gibson SG and his mic stand. He starts the next song with “C’mon you fuckers!”)
29. Sonic Reducer-(Bators, Blitz, Chrome, Magnum, Thomas, Zero)
30. Alive
31. Baba O’Riley-(Townshend)
32. Little Wing-(Hendrix)

Only song from backspacer is 'got some' and no 'sirens'. Looks like a great setlist. More riot act!

nothing special here. too bad thought with no new album thought they really might play more deep cuts. not that it is a bad show.
  • Mike teased the first few chords of Yellow Ledbetter, much to the crowds' euphoria, before launching into Little Wing. Needless to say, the surprise of the cover made for an even more europhic moment.

Thank you Dimitris I agree. People who've never been to Florida love to talk shit about it. The truth is we are just like everywhere else, there are great people here and there are douchebags here. But the PJ fans that are here are solid fucking fans who often travel abroad to see the guys play live. Having them come down here for us is always a welcome treat, and we welcome any and all PJ fans that are coming to us. Can't wait to meet some of these names finally in GA for my hometown show in J-Ville. Night everyone and I'll see you on Wednesday.

I think Ed was looking for the energy from Miami to carryover tonight and it was sporadic at best. Blood to close the first set was a gift and the pit wasn't moving at all. If Ed killed the mojo Saturday in Miami, tonight it was on the crowd. LBC, Moonlight, and Little Wing were definitely memorable though.

Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them."

Sounds like it was an amazing show, great setlist...plenty of deep cuts Red Mosquito, HTI, In The Moonlight, Getaway, Low Light, Little Wing and many others that arent big hits that dont get played alot yet, some people still complaining about wanting deeper cuts and the crowd not being up to par? I'm just not sure what some of you people want anymore? Do you think their going to play a show to 20,000 people and not play any hits and all your going to get is Sweet Lew, Fatal, Rival, Strangest Tribe etc...it's never going to happen and yet they've played 94 songs in 3 shows with probably at least 70 of them being different. What do some of you want? Frankly I think some of you should just stay away cause it sounds like your just not going to be happy with whatever they do! Sad but, true and it seems to get worse on here with every tour and the saddest part is that some of you are taking for granted that this band is going to be around in their 60's and 70's like the Who and Stones...news flash that's not happening so you better figure out how to enjoy what their doing cause there's not going to be many more tours! If you don't want to hear Alive, Betterman, Black, Even Flow, DTE, Jeremy etc...stay home and let someone who does buy your ticket! Sorry for the rant but, this place has become stale unlike our favorite band!

That stretch was the highlight for me as well. Great show overall but it kind of peaked early!
Also, "Imagine" is a buzzkill. I like when Eddie does it solo in his shows but it just seems like a waste of the whole band. There are 40 of their songs I'd prefer to have heard, basically. My FL run has ended - see everyone in Philly!

nothing special here. too bad thought with no new album thought they really might play more deep cuts. not that it is a bad show.

LBC lowlight red mosquito hard to imagine is a pretty good four song run
That stretch was the highlight for me as well. Great show overall but it kind of peaked early!
Also, "Imagine" is a buzzkill. I like when Eddie does it solo in his shows but it just seems like a waste of the whole band. There are 40 of their songs I'd prefer to have heard, basically. My FL run has ended - see everyone in Philly!
Seems like a trend..FTL Miami and Tampa all started on fire. For me my fathers son killed the set. But I'm being a set list diva. The band is amazing. But really I hate my fathers son. And while I'm at it with my divaness, how about some more songs off S/T army reserve, marker and inside job are unreal. its become evident the band hates the self titled album
  • Simply put, solid set and I felt the energy in the building was great and continued to grow throughout the show. Another killer show and I'm grateful to have witnessed it. Thanks PJ! See ya at MSG!!
