Found myself from Minnesota, Given To Fly...
Headed to New York in a blink of an eye.
Good fortune sways like a Pendulum.
But without a ticket I'd assuredly be glum.
I'm good company and will Mind My Manners.
I'll dance All Night... and not bring banners,
Nor yell at Eddie. Or cause a fight.
I Believe in Miracles... And this will Get Right.
Alternate Take / Wishlist:
I wish there was a kindly soul who one day would admit
That it is clear that it is simply time that he should indeed quit
Emailing all his old friends to go to New York. Shit.
Why bring drama, Facebook friends always throw a fit?
They don't know the songs and are more interested in getting lit.
Besides, this guy from Minnesota sounds cool and his need's legit.
I'd make his day and he can pay, the total cost 'be split.
He'd buy beer and his ticket, and he doesn't care if it's not in the pit.
His rhyme is fine, his verse sublime, impressive Minnesota shit.
