I like what he said and the fact that he had the smarts to "tactfully allude to the Rock Hall’s opaque nomination process and poor track record on inducting women" during his acceptance speech and really let it rip backstage:

“The whole process is unpleasant,” suggesting that it be “changed from the top to the bottom.”

“They need to respect the artists they say they’re honoring, which they don’t,”

When a publicist for the Rock Hall tried to interrupt him, Mr. Miller persisted. “No, we’re not going to wrap this up — I’m going to wrap you up,” he said. “You go sit down over there and learn something.”

“This is how close this whole show came to not happening because of the way the artists are being treated,” Mr. Miller said, holding two fingers very close together.

What do you expect from an institution controlled by that Rolling Stone magazine douchebag, Jann Wenner, who favors Madonna being in there first year over Rush who had years to get in? He just wants to take the money and run.

I would say the RRHOF has stopped being the RRHOF when it started inducting hip hop artist and other non rock artist...imho.

And he should have received tickets for his band...because they helped him get there.

But what a dumb idea of RRHOF to have guys that Miller didn't even know induct him! To my way of thinking that's just more evidence of how lame HOF has become. Too bad because it could be really great.

Maybe i'm getting old. As much as i agree with what he said, and as much as I loved Pearl Jam shitting on the Grammy's when they won. I feel if you decide to attend and receive an award or an honor, you should be a gentleman about it and be somewhat classy. Save the preaching for another day.
