    wow, that was slightly harsh. He is writing for the Tribune remember, the company responsible for all the woes he was so sarcastically commenting on. He probably is an intern, as the Trib company was hemorrhaging money since no one buys it anymore. I would guess an unpaid intern at that. If you are judging Ed based on a 7th inning stretch song he sings when pretty much bleacher drunk, you have a good handle though on some of his more recent Chicago performances, as he was three sheets into the wind for one of those 08 UC shows if memories serves. He did a great job slurring through Brother.

    In all fairness the whole tone of the article was trite and somewhat on the side of sarcasm, so dissing Ed is actually a complement, because he is obviously associated as a fixture of Cubdom, and I think no matter what was written, Ed would be ecstatic he is associated with the Cubs as a townie regular ala Vince Vaughn.

    As a life long Cubs fan, I got it and laughed... Hence my Sox fan post earlier.. All in good fun I thought..
