We just received a note from the Band's attorney that they have approved ALL the images, layouts and text for "Pearl Jam: the Art of Do the Evolution" so we are now ready to ROLL!!
It's been a long haul for me so fully understand and respect all of your patience in waiting for this long delayed book to finally hit the market.
I'll be speaking with the publisher today or tomorrow to lock down the expected publishing dates and when I have them confirmed, you will be the first to know.
Now it's time for a stiff, celebratory drink. Cheers!
PS Here's the band's choice for the cover. They picked this one out of the 5 different comps we presented to them. It's not my personal favorite, but I do dig it a lot and it's entirely appropriate for the book and video.
And what I also like is that the cover layout from Robbie Robbins uses images designed by three of the key artists who contributed to the video. The Bleeding Whale was designed and boarded by Jim Mitchell, the "Shotgunned Yield Sign" was designed and boarded by Young Ki Yoon, and Death Girl was designed by Brad Coombs. It's nice to see all of their work on the cover.

I pre-ordered 2.5 years ago from Amazon. Since they honor the lowest price, mine is sitting at about $20 right now. Is it worth that? Beats me, but don't really want to cancel for that price.

I think it has to do with the mockup template used... but the covers come off as glossy and "cheap" to me... But I think I am fooled by the 3D template...
The concept in the last post here looks busy and bad though. Would have prefered something classy for an artbook.
Hopefully the texture of the cover isn't glossy, but matte.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
It was released in 1998 (21-year-old video) and uploaded on YouTube in 2009.
It's like when a video has the censored version of a song and someone comments that they did it for Vevo not realizing the video was done before vevo was a thing
This
was another of the book's four cover concepts we put in front of the
band. You may have seen this before as it was the one we developed early
on as a possible cover, once the band nixed the idea of using Death
Girl on the cover.

GREAT NEWS!
I’m late to the party on this book. How do I go about purchasing?
