Couch tour?

Hey all! Not able to make it to all the shows this tour, but, do folks do live streaming of any of the shows? Mixlr, etc? Would love to listen in. I know the band allows tapers so was curious if folks stream them?

Periscope feeds, saw pretty much whole show from a feed from upper level behind stage, but it was surprisingly good and the sound was great.... Thanks Nina!!

The band could probably make a bunch of money by selling streams to shows that have sold out.

Oh yeah. I'd pay to get a stream to sit in my basement and listen/watch a decent stream of the show.

Ya it's really disappointing pj doesn't get it.

They don't wanna charge alot for tix, but now are beholden to the venue on price...they make not enough merch consistently clearly to increase perceived value as if that makes more than selling as many as u can. For fucks sake pj look at my cart. I spent 10k here. Will I goto less shows if u sell a stream? Of fucking course not. Would merch make less if the demand wasn't so high and they sold as many as they could? Of fucking course not.

Why is 2016 merch not online right now?

How can u be fighting for the fans and not see the idiocy in this. Sony doesn't own u. U could play the venue free and sell a feed to a cam mounted on the sound board and make more than u make playing the show. Wake the fuck up.
  • All you have to do is look at the way Phish handles their business... you can buy a high quality HD stream to most shows...

Ok but phish prolly is debatable if limiting merch for a higher perceived value is more profitable. For pj it is not even close.

Maybe I'm wrong but I imagine pj has 100 fans for every 5 phish fans. Plus we r fucking nuts.

I posted this in the porch...
..I joined periscope to catch some pj live streams
1 how do I find the streams? Use the map?
2 is periscope available on tv apps or fire tv?
3 can I cast from phone to tv?
    Thanks in advance
  • This is a pretty good idea. Maybe fans could chip in to help a local fan buy a scalped ticket in if they periscope the show to everyone.

Sorry to be a pain about periscope...can the comments and hearts be disabled? I guess I'm missing the point of periscope

Yes, if you use the app.

Comments are very annoying, one people are generally idiotic, but mostly because it blocks the whole screen.

PJ probably has a bigger fanbase (due to their 90s popularity), but the fanbase themselves are comparable in terms of fanaticism. Hell, phish fans may have an edge for fanaticism. Even down to the limited merch. Phish does posters at every show and probably one of the few bands that is very comparable for demand for posters as PJ.

    Easy.

If the show is sold out, then stream it...at least via SiriusXM and 10C radio. If the show isn't sold out, no live audio.
