Smashing Pumpkins at the Beacon Theater

I went to the show last night and really enjoyed it. I prefer the full electric version that i saw a few times in the early-mid 90s but this was still pretty good (certainly awesome to see them in a small theater). And great to hear songs like Soma, Mayonaise, Spaceboy and Whir.

Here are a few photos and a setlist.

I will never understand why billy doesn't shuffle the set lists on a nightly basis?? Same act every night.

Liz was great. Definitely worth getting there in time to see her. She also came out for a song with the Smashing Pumpkins (thirty-three)

I agree completely. That kept me from going multiple nights.

Not everyone goes every night, but I understand. A lot of bands play the same show every night.

Is it exactly the same setlist each show?

yeah because to the musician not every night is the same show despite the setlist. i have unfortunately learned that the hard way with many artists.
i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.

Is the banter different at least? Cornell plays a similar set each night too but his banter is nuts, goes off all sorts of tangents. I went to 7 Cornell shows last year and while there wasn't much variation to the setlist other than a few songs here and there, I was thoroughly entertained.

I thought Billy sounded pretty good and we really enjoyed the show. I know it's a different atmosphere but I'm so ready for a Pearl Jam crowd tomorrow night!
