Oooooh! I'm assuming HB Deluxe and Outside Lands. New material (no offense to the HB Deluxe) would be incredible though.

Noel's definitely a bit of a wanker, but his solo material is actually really good.

Forgive my ignorance, but is Blackhole an older album?

He recorded it by himself in December 2006 or 2007. I forget. But he says its a spiritual follow up to Love is Hell. He's released 2 songs from the sessions as a digital 7" and played a couple of more on his last tour. So I ca see why he made those comparisons.

I think it makes people extra excited not only because its LiH pt.3 but because its from the era where he was still writing really great songs (instead of a few good ones with some forgettable ones - like now).

When he finished the album a few weeks ago, he posted on Twitter/IG "See you in the fall". I'd expect another September/October release from him and a late fall tour.

I bet we don't see BH until RSD next year at the earliest (he said he wanted to press it for RSD last year - So I imagine thats a timeframe he wants to work with). The live album and 1989 has pushed back the HB deluxe and BH I assume. And now the new album(s) will.

  • Recently got back into RA. His self-titled record is pure awesomeness. My favorite LP he's done. Listen to 'Shadows' with headphones.

Shadows is a ridiculous tune. I love that whole album.

I do think you will hear a track to two from 1989.

I mean how does he not play Welcome To NY in NY?

Disagree. In the artist write up for the upcoming tour, there was a heavy focus on 1989. And he did them live on The Daily Show. He wants to play those songs.

Me too. I hadn't really ever listened to it closely and then BAM! Hit me like a ton of bricks a few weeks back. Wouldn't have given it a second look if it weren't for Apple Music. Ran out and bought it on CD.

I bet he doesn't play anything off 1984 on this tour...

Probably not. It'd be weird seeing Ryan doing Van Halen...

After working in a record store for a few years you get used to people asking for albums without knowing the name - "Have you got the new Ryan Adams? 19 something?.."

It'd be fun to play them his 1984 ep instead of 1989! "Man, he really f'ed with Taylor Swift's songs" :)
