Co-Pilot Needed for NJ to S. Carolina 11 Hour Trek to 4/16 PJ Show with Close Reserved Seats

Looking for a good co-pilot who lives close to Western NJ. I have confirmed Ten Club Reserved Seats for the 4/16 S. Carolina PJ Show. The seats should be 1st row on Mike's side if things go as usual as I have top ten seniority. My buddy was going to do the drive with me but now feels its too long of a drive for him to endure. If you go you need to be good at long drives and be able to drive for about three hours at a clip. I provide the car and gas and a ticket at face value and we switch off on driving around every three hours. I am a sales rep and drive about 200 miles a day, every day; so don't mind the occasional 693 mile trek if a PJ show is at the end of the drive. I have a room booked within walking distance of the venue for the night of the 4/16. We will leave Western NJ Fri Night 4/15 and drive all night ; getting to the hotel on Sat afternoon. We will drive back early Sunday. I have done this type of PJ trip with two other PJ Ten Club member (BadBrains for Cincy and Jose Evolution for London, Ont) They can vouch for me being OK to road trip with. If I can't find someone my buddy will go with me ; but he dosn't really want to and I would prefer to go with someone who is totally into it. At the Cincy show I got first row on Mike's side and Eddie came by our row and poured some of his wine into a few of our cups.

If you are up for this adventure; let me know sooner than later as I want to get this firmed up. I have asked about four of my PJ contacts and no one can do it this time around.

I have had a few pm's of encouragement but no one has stepped forward yet. My ipod has 800 cd's on it including tons of pj so the drive will feel like less than 11 hours. I am a good driver with no points or accidents. If you have interest, pm me, then we can talk on the phone and make sure you are comfortable before committing.

As no one has stepped up yet; I went ahead and booked my room for two nights instead of one. I will now be leaving early Friday morning from Flemington NJ and driving down during the day on Fri arriving Fri night. I figure its safer to drive all day than mess up the circadian cycle by forcing myself to drive through the night. I can still use a co-pilot. We will be staying in Greenville
4/15 and 16 and leaving early on the 17th to do the 11 hour drive back to NJ. So if no one steps up; I will do it solo with more breaks. Andrew

Damn.......if I was closer I would do this in a heartbeat! Love road trips like this. I drove out from Maine to Cincy with a buddy and followed them all the way back through to Boston in 2000). And have made the drive to Philly a couple times. Good luck finding someone. Sounds like a great time!

Definitely safer to drive during daylight hours.

I like this thread because it reminds me that in 2014 I hit the road at 4am to get to the venue in Detroit for 8am, right after the show I hit the road for the 6 hours to Moline (stopped once to sleep for an hour), and after the show I hit the road for the 10 hours back to Toronto (stopped twice to sleep for an hour each time). Back home at 12pm and was absolutely wrecked.
