Extreme GA?... Amsterdam.. Walked around and took images as the Ziggo Dome filled.
At this point remember saying " Look plenty of room to long in the back of GA"..

Has already been stated, but if you arrive 45 minutes before go time, you can still be about 4-5 "rows" back. That's what I have done for all 3 GA shows I've attended. In SD, I walked in about 30 minutes before show and was about 3 back right in front of Mike. It was epic. Enjoy the city you are visiting and don't waste all day in line just to get a couple rows closer. Like others have said, if you want the rail, I believe you will have to be there bright and early the day before the show. Seems like a waste of two days to me. Just my opinion.

Is there really much of a sound difference in GA from lets say row 2-4 compared to like 10-15 back?

The best place in any venue for sound is directly in front of the front of house soundboard as you are hearing exactly what the sound engineer wants you to hear.

It's better 15 rows back. Up that close the sound isn't that good and it's usually dominated by the one monitor there.

Good stuff right there and totally agree. If you want to actually hear Pearl jam in all their glory then head back a little bit. If you feel the need to know how many nose hairs each band member has then head to the front.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Don't get me wrong, I love a good front row experience, the energy is off the charts and you can't help but go nuts. Variety is the spice of life. But definitely better sound 15-20 rows back.

Ya thats what I figured. One last question and I realize it is subjective and probably answered before. Do you guys recommend grabbing the far end of the rail by the wing seats if they are available or jumping in 2-4 deep in the middle somewhere?
