    This sucks :bawling:

for you youngsters, she played both herself and her cousin(?) on her TV show....as a kid, it was mind blowing.

    RIP, Patty.

I only caught her show a couple of times...I just liked HER. Seemed like a cool lady.

    RIP.

Her TV show was cute and fun but she was an accomplished actress who continued to do a lot of TV miniseries and movies during her career. But I especially admired her when she went public in the 80s with her diagnosis of bipolar depression. She raised awareness of mental illness and did a lot to reduce the stigma.

    RIP Patty.

Very sad. And like WP, I also admired her for coming forward to talk about her mental illness.

A good friend of mine just posted this on FB about his experience working with her. It's very lovely.

She was like the first ever celebrity to publicly battle bipolar....she was amazing for all that she did with that! I can't believe it!!!

    RIP Patty!

I didn't watch her show, and I didn't realize she is Sean and Mackenzie Astin's mother.

My thoughts are with the family.
