Tickets to 11 shows on the upcoming tour below face value on Stubhub

Public service announcement / educational opportunity

I checked today and count 11 shows on the upcoming tour with tickets at or below face value on Stubhub. As we discussed when tickets first went on sale, prices will come down as the shows draw closer for all but the most in demand shows on the tour. You can go to the tour opener for $29.00 each, or $78.04 with fees for the pair - half price. Everyone loves to hate Stubhub and scalpers, but if you educate yourself on the market and how it works, you can actually take advantage of Stubhub and scalpers and go see Pearl Jam on a Friday night in south Florida for half price. Also - prices should continue to drop. I see an analogy with credit cards here. If you are a smart consumer, you can take advantage of credit cards, pay no interest and collect lots of valuable points, miles or other rewards. For other people out there, credit cards represent nothing but dept and interest fees. I see event ticketing the same - good for smart consumers, not so good for the rest. Enjoy the tour everyone!

Of course, Stubhub is not exclusively scalpers. I'm willing to bet many of those tickets belong to 10C members or fans that simply can't go anymore. That happened to me in 2013, where I had to sell my Calgary tickets because of a death in the family. Ended up having to sell my $85 tickets for $15. Lost $160, yippie.

And re that last post by PJNB...Stubhub ensures your purchase, there is a hotline, and they will replace your tickets (if possible) on the spot.

Glad to hear. I had to buy from them for a show this tour and I am scared to death if they are legit or not.

I've bought and sold on site exclusively...they fully back up all purchases. They have great customer service...24 hour chat line..it is true that some tickets are speculative BEFORE on sale date but they guarantee all purchases.

Same here...never had a problem with them and usually score deals all the time from sellers (not all sellers are scalpers either)

MSG won't let you do tickets off your phone. You either need to find a way to print them out(most hotels have a business area where you can do this) or pick up at will call.

This won't happen for MSG so anyone trying for those shows I suggest you get them while you can. There's an obvious reason they haven't toured Florida in 8 years and the ticket sales reflect that.

    This is true.

It is probably time to start to look and wait for your deal. For MSG 1, I was able to snipe a single, side/back of the stage on Mike's side, front row in the 200 level for $160 last week.

If you're not particular about which MSG show you attend, Monday's tickets are going for a lot less $$$ on StubHub.
I escaped it...a life wasted...I'm never going back again
