Damn. Just read the news. RIP to a top shelf MC from one of my favorite groups from any genre. Phife Dawg the Five Foot Assassin will be missed.

    I'm generally not a big rap/hip hop fan but I got turned on to A Tribe Called Quest by way of Jim Jarmusch's excellent (one of my all-time favorites) movie, "Ghost Dog". I picked up a copy of "The Low End Theory" shortly after the film came and and it's got some great stuff on it.

    Damn, Phife Dawg gone at 45. That a shame. R.I.P. Phife.
