I've used Fed Ex both times I've shipped a framed poster with no issues. They have boxes specific for it and the way the box folds along with a tight piece of plastic that the poster slides under holds it in place and makes it pretty sturdy.

I think the cost, including shipping materials was around $35 - $40 in the states.
it's a fragile thing, this life we lead.

$35-$40 may be a bit light. Definitely use a box that is large enough to give the frame some additional room so it is not right up against the edge. Plenty of bubble wrap and packing peanuts, make sure the frame can't move and come in contact with anything.

I just had a beautifully framed poster arrive today perfectly. The seller put a yoga mat on the glass and then wrapped it in bubbles. Don't use USPS they fuck up everything.

I've noticed when sending things, USPS always messes it up, UPS for whatever reason around me always has TERRIBLE customer service, I refuse to even go into a UPS store because of the attitudes their employees give me

FedEx is without a doubt the best. Every time I go in there, they take the time to carefully package my items and are very friendly and helpful. Use FedEx.
