Hampton will be my first PJ show - questions

I won the TC drawing for GA tickets and I have a few questions. How early in the day do they usually start issuing tickets? Do they distribute them at the venue's box office or will it be at some other location? What time will they allow entry for an 8pm show?

Congrats on your first show...you're gonna have a BLAST!!
10 Club ticket distribution usually starts around 3pm on the day of the show.
There will be special windows for 10 Club pick-up at the arena box office.
You'll line up by the first letter of your last name.
Not sure about entry time yet, and this will vary by location.
You will get an e-mail from 10 Club with ticket pick-up times and locations a few weeks before the tour starts!!
I hope you have a GREAT time and enjoy your show!!

Here's the text from my FINAL Confirmation letter from Cincinnati 2014 - I won GA tickets for this show, so this info may help you too!!

This is your final confirmation for your Ten Club GA tickets and wristbands to see Pearl Jam in Cincinnati at US Bank Arena on October 1st.

Your tickets will be at Ten Club will call under the registered member name.

Ten Club Box Office Opens: 3:00pm
    Door Time: 5:30pm
    PJ Set Time: 7:30pm
    Box Office Close: 8:30pm
    All times subject to change

    * Traffic Advisory: The Pedestrian Bridge over Pete Rose Way will be closed for repairs from 9/29 - 10/24. Fans will need to enter the parking garage and take the stairway or elevator up to the arena entry level for box office. Plan to arrive early, there is construction of a street car downtown which will impede traffic.

    1) Ten Club will call is located on the West Side of the Building on Concourse level. Arrive early to pick up your tickets to avoid waiting in long lines at the box office.

    2) Tickets are filed alphabetically in order of last name. Ten Club ticket windows will have signs above dividing them up based on the alphabet. Ex. A-F, G-L, M-R, etc Please make sure you are in the line that corresponds with the first letter of your last name and have your photo ID in hand.

    3) Ten Club members must show government issued photo identification in person to collect purchased tickets. The name on the ID must match the name on the ticket envelope as indicated above. If your account was created using a nick name entirely different from your first name, or is listed under an outdated maiden name, please email tickets@tenclub.net immediately as this will cause a delay at the box office. Shortened names such as John for Jonathan, or Jen for Jennifer are fine as is.

    4) Only the Ten Club member whose name is on the membership account may pick the tickets up. You cannot send anyone else to pick tickets up for you. No exceptions.

    5) You will have two (2) GA Tickets and two (2) Ten Club wristbands in your envelope at the box office.

    6) There will not be an opener for this show.

    7) All ticket sales are final. No refunds, name transfers or exchanges. No exceptions.

    8) Reselling of your spare Ten Club ticket for above face value will result in ticket cancellation and loss of membership.

    GA Entry Rules and Etiquette:

    - All GA ticket holders must enter through the designated GA entry door.

    - The GA entry door for this show will be located on the West End of the Arena – Floor Level (Below the Box Office Plaza Level). This door is the fastest and most direct route to the GA floor.

    - The GA pit is located in the floor directly in front of the stage, is standing room only, and is first-come-first-served.

    - You must have both a GA ticket and an Official Ten Club GA Entry wristband fastened to your wrist to enter the GA Doors. Those two items combined give you GA pit access.

    - Your guest does not have to line up at the box office with you. You will be given your two (2) tickets and two (2) Official Ten Club GA Pit wristbands. Immediately put on your wristband and pass the other to your guest to do the same. Put the tickets someplace safe. Do not lose them!

    - Removed, broken, fake or tampered with wristbands will not be honored. Lost wristbands will not be replaced, so put them on as soon as you get them. No exceptions.

    - The GA line is for members with GA tickets and wristbands only. Members with reserved seated tickets can enter from any other entrance at regular door time.

    - The GA entrance has been pre-determined, but is subject to change on the day of the show. This is unlikely to happen, but in the unlikely chance it does, you will be directed to the new entrance via signage and by venue security staff.

    - The GA line is first-come, first-served. In the past, fans have used their own fan created numbering system to save a place in line. The numbering system is no longer tolerated. We have seen fans abuse this in the past arriving early to get a number, and then leaving for long expanses of time only to come back at door time and jump in the front of the line. Therefore, anyone participating in this fan created queueing system will be sent to the back of the line. It is the Ten Club’s position that those that put in the time to wait in the GA line all day should be of the first in the door. Anyone abusing this will be sent to the back of the line. Of course it is necessary to take bathroom breaks, or to jump out of line to pick up tickets at will call when the box office opens. Like any other line that you find yourself standing in for long periods of time in your life, simply have your guest hold that place in line for you temporarily, and communicate to your neighbor that you will be right back. They will ask the same in return from you because this is the right thing to do. The GA line should be a friendly community. Be neighborly and respectful and do not abuse the kindness of your fellow Ten Club members.

    - Upon entering the venue through the GA entry line, have your GA ticket in hand to be scanned. Hold your arm up showing your wristband in clear view so that security can verify your GA entry credentials and get everyone in the door as safely and efficiently as possible.

    - DO NOT RUN! Anyone that enters the venue and starts running will be stopped by security and escorted to the end of the line. We know there’s a lot of excitement and energy that builds while waiting in line, but this is a strict rule. So be safe, have fun, and DO NOT RUN!

Thank you for the information. Since this is my first show, I'd like to be within 5 or 6 "standing rows" from the railing. So it sounds like the position in the GA line is important. What time should we get to the venue to get in line? And then can I leave my husband in line when the ticket office opens at 3?

    For the Cincinnati show...
we got in line shortly after the doors opened, and walked right in!!
We ended up about 5 or 6 rows back, between Mike and Ed without waiting in line at all,
and we could have been even closer if we had gone for Stone's side.
With the Hampton show being held on a Monday night,
I'd think you would be in good shape to get in the first 3 rows if you got in line by noon or so!!

Yep, don't fret about standing in line all day if you want 5 or 6 deep. I won GA in St. Paul 2014, walked in about a half hour after doors opened and was 8 or 9 deep dead center, could've been closer on Stone's side as Dave mentioned. And that was after stopping to get a beer.
If you do stand in line, just talk to the folks around you. It will be fine to leave your husband in line to go pick up your tickets. Everyone's usually cool with leaving for a bit to go grab food, bathroom, etc as well. Just don't show up, leave for 6 hours, then come back and say "I was in this spot earlier."

This has been really helpful. I usually overthink things, so I can relax a bit. I had visions of a "Black Friday" crowd setting up campsites in line on the night before the show. Another question - do they open the TC GA door(s) at the same time that rest of the doors open?

    Yep.

Seriously, don't waste your time in the GA line unless you want to be right on the rail or as close to it as possible.

I got in line for Milwaukee when the doors opened and was still only about 3 "rows" back. We went Stone's side and I caught a tambourine (which I gave to the intended target -- the kid next to me on his dad's shoulders) and my wife got some of Ed's wine.

there could be people camping out overnight in line... that's actually pretty common if it is allowed... but I don't think you need to do that unless you want to be "on the rail"
