Chances on getting a refund from the Ten Club?

That's a start. Or maybe a month before the show, have a 2nd chance drawing all together. I don't know. I get that there does have to be some cut off date, but when you sell tickets 7 months ahead, it seems like there could be a way to accommodate things that come up in people's lives.JTH said:
what they should do is have a waiting list. The lottery drawing is for double the amount of actual tickets. The first half drawn are the winners. The second half are on the waiting list.darwinstheory said:
This needs to be amended. I totally understand them wanting to monitor things like resale and such. Maybe they should resell them to another 10C member of their choosing to prevent any scalping. Then refund to the original buyer.
Sometimes, things just happen in people's lives. I have 10C tickets to both Wrigley shows. I also received a job offer yesterday that includes a work schedule of "7 day turns". That means work 7 straight midnight shifts, take 2 days off. Work 7 straight 2nd shifts then take 2 days off. Then 7 straight 1st shifts with 2 days off and repeat the process.
I certainly didn't know this would happen when I bought the tickets and I have 10C friends with whom to sell the tickets too but wouldn't mind which members received them if the 10C were willing to resell and refund my money.
My $.02
Someone can't use the tickets, they go in, cancel them and the first person on the waiting list gets them. But the catch is that the people on the waiting list have no idea if they're number 1 or number 5,737."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0 -

OP, kids totally make you think a different way. Do what feels is right for you, your wife and your unborn healthy baby. Good luck bud.Post edited by mcgruff10 onI'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -

I'm willing to bet that the 10C would be much more willing to make exceptions if not for the fear that it would get broadcast in here. Sort of like when celebrities go to proms with fans or something. It creates an "if they did it for them then why not me" issue. Not saying this particular person would run here to share that they did anything. I just mean it as a general comment to the way the world is now.0

I don't think I'm the one who should be worried...JTH said:
Careful there. Do you have any idea how many people die or are severely injured by falling from high horses?Suziemay said:No refunds. I think they give you the option to "donate" the tickets and they will get used somehow, or they can send you the tickets as a souvenir.
OP is entitled to not go somewhere for whatever reason. He's not asking for our opinion on whether he should/shouldn't go, just whether or not a refund is in the realm of possibility. Geez people.

i said to each their own. i didn't say you would go deaf. but you also don't know for sure that there isn't any residual damage no matter how small or undetectable right now. for us we chose not too. only speaking for myself. but there are medical facts on this.0

Wouldn't the woman's body be more than enough ear protection for a fetus?? It's gotta be pretty muffled in there. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

and for tickets that can't be used they could only allow a family member or ten club member to get them with a 25.00 charge to do so. that would then cover the club's labor costs as they should not incur that expense.0

but really it opens so many cans of worms in hindsight they should just leave it alone. next thing you know there will be thousands of requests, or members just getting other members their seats.0

actually the water in the womb amplifies the sound0

Speedy, make sure someone is holding that ladder as you dismount.0 -
Well I just read this on livestrong:foodboy said:actually the water in the womb amplifies the sound
"Sounds Are Muffled
In most cases, even sounds that seem loud to you might be muffled in the womb. The walls of the uterus, and fat and muscle in the abdominal cavity all dampen sound waves and lower their volume before they reach your baby's ears. The amniotic fluid fills the inner ear, preventing the eardrum from amplifying sounds in the way it will once your baby is born and also dampens high-pitched noises; however, amniotic fluid actually amplifies low-pitched sounds slightly."With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. My wife is due in September and we have tickets to shows in Florida. We have cases of zika here in Austin. Our Doctor doesn't really have advice for us on the issue other than make sure you use deet repellant.
It's a concern for us but we're not changing our plans as plane tickets and hotel rooms have been purchased. Good luck op, I understand your trepidation for sure.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -
Has anyone in the USA contacted this virus yet while in the USA? I thought all the reports were people traveling south and coming back with it.0
-
You're correct but You can get it by having sex with someone who has it. Males don't show symptoms really either, so a husband who has it can give it to his wife basically. And Mosquitos also transfer it, so it's only a matter of time before US Mosquitos start biting infected people who contracted it elsewhere and brought it back with them then bite and infect people here in the states.PJNB said:Has anyone in the USA contacted this virus yet while in the USA? I feel the cdc knows more than they're letting on, especially since they've known about th disease since the 60's but never did too many tests on it since they didn't think it was harmful. It's been shown to be linked to autism, retardation and other things found in adolescence of kids, not just babies with tiny heads/brains. I read an article that said that scientists are expecting a huge increase in autism and retarded brain function in Caribbean islands and South America in 15 years, because they're not testing babies for those things now, they're only looking for the small brain deal.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -
All of the infections in the US are from traveling and carrying it back. NO ONE in the US has contracted it from a mosquito. And most never will. It's possible that the mosquito that carries the virus will arrive in the southern US, but most of North America is safe from that because the mosquito that carries it can't survive in most regions' climates.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:
