Super Predators

Hillary Clinton

1996 describes "some young kids"

Racial or no?

Please discuss with integrity. Some feel like it was racial code.

She says it was a poor choice of words by never said why. At least her answers didn't. I'd like to see if you think Hillary Clinton was a racist then.

This whole "Super Predator" thing has been coming up much lately but seems absent here. Would love some fair and balanced input.

“They’re not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called superpredators. No conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel.”

I hate Hillary, but I don`t think it`s racist.... Go back to when she said it, crack/coke/heroin were big sellers and gang violence was rampant in every major and small city. Chicago, New York, DC, LA straight up Gangland, and it spread to the suburbs.

Next to the things Trump has said I'd say it pales in comparison ..

First, hard not to compare how that girl was shown the door with how the Trump protester was recently ejected. This was polite and peaceful while that was an assault.

Second, if this quote is accurate...

“They’re not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called superpredators. No conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel.”

...then I don't see anything racial about it. Is there more? Is there something worse? If not then this is a fabricated controversy.

And so the game of "I'm not touching you" ends ...

I think it is a reach to say this is racial. What makes it about Blacks anymore than it is about Latinos? Asians? Whites? I don't see it.

It's nice we got it figured out what the OP was trying to ask without using complete sentences. Race is almost always intertwined with discussions of crime. The prejudice that blacks are more innately violent comes out in people's reactions and words they choose. The bias is that blacks who commit violent crime are just that way because they are violent people, whites who are violent fall outside of the group of "normal whites" and people search for other reasons for the violence: e.g. familial or societal related, drug abuse, etc. Black are more easily place in the scary category and given labels as such: street gangs, thugs, 'super predators'.
