edit: I miss what happened on last years tour where they sent out the email after tickets went on sale. You woke up, saw the email and immediately checked for tickets. Everytime people get a heads up and check at the same time, bad things happen :(
I got my email the evening before the presale, but it sounds like some people got them the next day, while the presale was already happening and missed out on being able to jump on the presale right away.
Mine came overnight on that one. I grabbed my morning coffee, checked my email, hummed and hawed about whether or not to travel to Vancouver, thought I'd look to see what was there, and I got row 1. Couldn't say no to that (probably wouldn't of traveled to Vancouver for less quality tickets). It was kind of cool how the span of finding out about the show and buying tickets was only 2 to 3 minutes, and as a result I got really really good tickets. Never seen anything like that.
Managed to get Pit Row C tickets for Louisville. First five minutes or so, there were no tickets available (of any type)--not sure if it was a glitch or what. Kept refreshing at a slow enough pace not to trigger the anti-bot defenses of TM/Livenation (had that happen to me once, it was terrible--locked me out for ten minutes during a Springsteen onsale), and eventually tickets were available. $75 plus fees per seat, for anyone curious about pricing by section.
Saw the solo full-band show at the Palace in 2007, his appearance the second night at PJ20, solo acoustic in 2011 at the Brown Theater (his solo-acoustic "A Day in the Life" is still a jaw-dropper for me), and with Soundgarden at the Palace in 2013, I think? Can't wait to see him again. Such a great live performer.
@ Spooney that 2007 show at the Palace was unbelievable.... Hearing the Audioslave/Soundgarden/Temple of the Dog/Solo all in 1 night.... Was better than his songbook tour for sure, and that was really good.
I for some god only knows reason didnt see Chris last fall in Toronto. Haunts me even more that there aren't any close dates for me this time around. But on the bright side SG will probably be playing next year and I damn well won't be missing that one

Are there any other presales for the show at the Capital in Port Chester? When I saw the email I completely missed this show and thought the closest for me would be Engelwood New Jersey on a Wednesday. I would much rather drive 25 minutes north on a Saturday then trying to drive over the bridge after work in weekday traffic.
Do you have to use an American Express card? I keep putting in josephine and then select seats, but the only way for payment is to use an American Express CC.

The password was for the fan club presale which was yesturday. I think todays presale is a Amex presale.
You might have to wait until the Live nation presale if you dont have an Amex card.

Anyone know how to use the amex presale? I was told use the number on the back of the card but that isn't working.
Is this TM? There are typically 2 types of Amex presales: 1) All Amex cards (no password required, just have to pay with Amex card), or 2) "Preferred" access, which means you need to have an eligible card (typically Gold/Platinum/Centurion). This presale requires a password and it's the 10-digit customer service number at the back of the card minus the 1. So, 800 xxx xxxx

Roger, did you select "Chris Cornell Fan Club Presale"? Is this a TM ticket or another ticket site? You should be able to use a non-Amex card if you're not going through the Amex presale.

OK Roger, I think I know the problem. The lighter blue dots on TM are the Amex presale seats which you don't need a password for, just an Amex card. So you probably selected those seats (because there are more of those than fan club presale) that's why it's asking you for an Amex card. Look for a darker dot that says fan club presale. Good luck!

That's exactly it - thank you Su May! There's only two random singles left over from the fan club sale, so I guess I'm out of luck until the general sale on Friday. Thank you!
