Suggestion for forum feature?

My hubs and I belong to a forum that has a "thank you" feature...it's sort of like the "like" feature on facebook....so when someone posts something useful or funny or whatever you can thank them even if you don't necessarily have an immediate reply...you can acknowledge you saw and enjoyed what they had to say and it either made you laugh or helped you or whatever...

Just a thought...

    Anything that resembles facebook should not be added to this forum.
    I can see the add ons to posts now - "please thank me if you like this post",
    Next thing you know we will have thank you counts added to a poster.
    No thanks.

    PJ siren, there used to be a feature like that when they did the change over from the old site to vanilla forums. It had something like a point system.
    They decided it was not a feature they wanted to utilize, so they removed it.
