We are one night closer to the nightmare of a Hillary Clinton indictment in October and President Elect Donald Trump in November.

You really think a country that elected Obama twice will elect Trump? Not gonna happen.
Obama didn't have to run against Trump.
    Good thing for Trump.
Do you think a race like that would've been like this one now?

I'm sure the dems have a contingency plan if Hilly gets indicted.

I think all bets are off if Hillary gets indicted and Trump is the only alternative.
Hillary won't get indicted and I'll tell you why. She is buddies with this guy:

Trump has to win 59% of delegates moving forward to avoid a contested convention. This is going to be ugly and awesome

Yup, the uglier the better from my seat. Maybe the moderate part of the republican party can take it back through civil war. But I thought they might come to their senses after the last election and here we are.

I wouldn't count the possibility out at this point. This has turned into a reality TV show election. Clinton will be out of her element. Trump will be in his.

Bernie is going to lose and his youth following will tune out. Advantage Trump. If Clinton gets tagged by the D.O.J, Trump could win.

Primary season is very different than the fall. I bet young voters will be motivated by "anything but Trump"

Right now Trump has gotten 63% of the delegates. There are 1,134 still available. If he continues at this rate, he will get 1,344. He only needs 1,134 to seal the deal.

It's all about Hillary and the potential for scandal. If the Justice Department finds nothing and no other shoes drop, she cruises. If there is an indictment Republicans come out in record numbers while independents abandon her.

Democrats have spent this primary season pretending the investigation is no big deal. They could be very wrong about that.

The moderate republicans have been drowned out by evangelicals, tea party, (and now) Trump. The most moderate of the bunch will probably vote for Hillary. Barring any legal actions, she's going to crush him in the general.

Perhaps, but I think you are underestimating the number of moderates (that being the key word) that side with the republicans for no other reason than high level fiscal matters. There are plenty of moderate republicans that lean liberal socially especially with issues like abortion and gay rights so they don't have any fundamental "moral" issues with voting for HRC. It's these "moral" issues that (obviously) exclude the mid-to-far right from ever considering a dem (and other issues of course), but the centrist-moderates in the republican party have no such dilemma.

With 60% of the republican party voting against Trump in the primaries, I definitely see room for those moderates in the "Stop Trump" camp to cross over.

There's literally no precedence for these shenanigans therefore much of what we have come to rely on as the "norm" will be tossed out the window.

The last statement you made is a very significant point.

This has been so far from ordinary that as comical as it has been... the potential is concerning.

I don't think it's all Trump's yet. With Rubio out, Cruz will get a lot of those votes, and whenever Kasich bails out, he should get most of those votes, too.

GOP's only hope is Kasich. The strategy should be to back Cruz so Trump doesn't get the majority and then weasel Kasich in as the nominee at the convention.

What's even more ridiculous is how many people actually think he would make a good president. Do you suppose what they really want is something other than a president? And what would he be to them? Grand Entertainer? Club leader? Top Dog Thug? Rabble Rouser? Bully Boss? I'm really not sure what these people are thinking.

A protest of those not happy with either the democratic or republican parties? A middle finger to the establishments and political hierarchy and big government status quo and one sided representation? He is (by past actions) the most liberal candidate running on a conservative ticket, yet he is in the lead. The idiots are stuck on whether or not he will be a great or terrible president. We've had pretty crappy "leadership" for a while now and people are just used to it. The strategic know he will be a great protest/tool/wake up call to those only pleasing their wealthy interest groups. All of those private jets that flew to block him from landing on an island shows just how many private interests he is exposing...and we can probably all agree that's a good thing. Bernie was trying to do the same thing, but is still politically tied to some of those same people in that he will still be backing people of the likings of Hillary WHEN she obtains the democratic ticket...unfortunate.

Yes, but he is running as a Republican so the points you make are from a Republican standpoint, 40% of Republicans roughly.
If Trump was running as a Democrat would he even be in the race still? I don't know but I doubt it.
