  • Wrong. He very much cares about how the media portrays him.

Well I wonder how Trump is feeling now about the media. Wasn't it supposed to be rigged against him? Whoops, it's only rigged when the negative coverage is about him. He thinks like a spoiled 10 year old.

Trump doesn't care about the media. Why is this hard for people to understand?
What he cares about is why people are wondering how he feels about the media in the first place.

He freaking had a twitter rant about SNL because they made fun of him.

    A rant?
My god, is this what the world is coming to. People can't even say things against SNL?
    That show is terrible.
    Trump is right.

    Trump is right.

Celebrities that are obsessed about how they are portrayed in the media will rant about how they were made fun of on SNL. Has any politician said anything about being made fun of by them? Heck, has one of the Kardashians even tweeted about it? Trump is a 13 year old in a grown ups body.

SNL received more headlines and ratings because of his appearance than any backlash that could've hurt the show by having the perceived monster as a guest.
SNL is terrible and Trump played them.
Even 13yr olds don't watch SNL.
  • I think SNL has really stepped up their game this year. The Trump/Clinton stuff is...meh, but the rest of the show has been really good.

    Played them? Ok. Sure.

Back in realityland, the possible future leader of the free world took to a social media platform designed to cut discouse into bite sized chunks for dummies and criticized a sketch comedy tv show for a negative depiction of him. It's so low and...just low.
He makes my armpit-farting nephew look classy and dignified.

The average of all the polls has hardly moved the needle though. The race is tightening, I'm sure, but I don't see any sign of a Trump stampede.

That is because the silent majority can't be seen or herd.
Agreed. I said a few times that there is a shitload of trump fans out there who weren't expressing their support for fear of the retaliation and hatred coming from the left. Not a majority but they're there.

I think it's very safe to say that there are Clinton supporters in red states that aren't being accounted for.

Oh of course. I just mean that to me during this entire race it has been acceptable to support Clinton but reprehensible to support trump. I think it drove a lot of his supporters underground. Just an opinion of course

Anyone notice how silent Trump is right now? The reason is obvious, but it's still pretty damn weird for Trump to be so quiet only a week before the election. It tells me that even he has finally acknowledged that if he does anything besides sit there and shut the fuck up, he is a massive liability who can only hurt his campaign. And he could still win. How incredibly ridiculous.

When you say silent what you referring to? He literally not saying anything, him twittering or media coverage?
Well obviously not media coverage. I just mean he's super quiet compared to usual. No twitter rants (there are still some tweets, but I am not seeing any that are actually from him directly, aka crazy ones), no giant rants for people to get in a tizzy about, etc.
Chris Cilliza of the Washington Post said Trump gave the best speech of his campaign in Pennsylvania today.

how the hell did trump play snl? they have absolutely destroyed him week after week.

snl is not what it used to be, that's true, but election season it is always on top of its game. of course, with trump, all they have to really is reenact and it's fucking hilarious.

A satiric comedy that has been around forever has resorted to using Trump for ratings.
No wonder all the talent left.

um, they are always part of election season. it's part of what they, and any sketch comedy show, does. take current events and make them funny. do you really not understand this? and the talent leaves all the time.it's a revolving door. snl is a stepping stone to movies for almost all the cast. that's how they make their mark.

and the last one they made just as much fun of clinton as they did trump. it was really quite good.

Yes I understand that but who made the mark for Trump on SNL?
    Trump or the cast?
It was an a game for SNL when they spoofed Palin.
I reiterate that some people don't like that Trump was offended for being subjected voluntarily to a roast show.
    Why?
  • Polls close in less than one week and we're debating the history of SNL and if they're being fair?
