matthew logan vasquez (delta spirit)
Striking out on his own away from his band Delta Spirit seems to have refreshed him. The guitar playing is more rockin/dirty than some of the delta spirit stuff. A lot of it reminds me of some Neil Young chugs.

I'm going to see him tonight. That is very cool. Let us know how it is and if he plays the song austin.
I'm seeing him at a festival in May and i fear i won't hear that song since its so long and he likely has a limited amount of time to play

I saw him in Brooklyn last week, enjoyed the show. Played mostly his new stuff but also one Delta Spirit song and also played "Blue Eyes" from the Middle Brother project he did with John McCauley and Taylor Goldsmith. Some good tracks on the new album, "Bound to Her" is probably my favorite.
Spoke with him for a few minutes after the show, nice guy.

I absolutely love Delta Spirit, so I have to check out this solo effort. Their show in Detroit last year was one of my favorite concerts of 2015."Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

Unfortunately he didn't play Austin, but nevertheless it was a very nice show. It was a solo accustic set with some Delta Spirit tunes and one from Middlebrother. Last song was "Everything I Do Is Out".intodeep said:That is very cool. Let us know how it is and if he plays the song austin.

Was the show in Detroit kind of in that stripped down format? I saw them at Warsaw in Brooklyn last year and loved the show, thought it was one of the best times I've ever seen them.samjam said:

Nice, Warsaw! Very cool place to see them in, especially more stripped down. The Detroit show wasn't stripped down, it was pretty full band. Blew me away!chimpat said:
