    So are they going to make an official announcement on this? I mean the tour starts in a week... I know Mike mentioned in an interview that they are planning on doing boots again, but we're kinda in the dark other than that.

    How about a private ten club tracker where you get more boots the more you seed for other users... they could just include it in the cost of Membership. It would also be a great way to get "vault" stuff out there.

    This IS the way to jump straight over what all the other "groundbreaking" artists are doing and REALLY do something revolutionary.

    a torrent style download of the '08 show's in flac style would be sweet! :)
    user get's a password to start the download, encrypted with 1 ip address.
    so the download/upload jam would begin!

    or back to basecamp style download. i'm down for that.

    or silver cd style set. if so, oh baby! :)

    Him saying they don't know which form they will be in leads me to believe they are thinking of releasing DVD's of each show, which would be sooooo much better than a CD.

    no announcement = no boots.

    they didn't announce they were not going to do them last year...took me weeks of pestering (I started asking 2 months before the tour, I knew bootcamp closing was a bad sign) to even get a vague admission it wasn't going to happen.
    I haven't even bothered this year.

    now I'll be happy to be wrong..but I have as much hope for it as for getting front row tickets..

    Just because they are not announced ahead of the shows does not mean there will not be any, we just might have to be patient. They may be doing them like 2000 & 2003 wher you don't get any until afterwards.

    It doesn't matter if its announced or not. Every show is recorded professionally on video and by audio. They can put either form out whenever they want.
