We are please to announce we will be raising money for Pearl Jam's Vitalogy Foundation and Haven Hospice. We may add one more local charity in the next coming weeks.
In the meantime, let me tell you about one of our charities, Haven Hospice. Haven has a local office in the Jacksonville area and services our community. At Haven, we celebrate life. We help patients and families make the transition to the Otherside. The money raised will go to patients and families that need our services, but may not have health care or simply cannot afford it. While many people associate Hospice with death, we truly celebrate life. We've reunited families, put on weddings, and will try to do anything possible to fulfill our patients' wishes and help the families in any way possible. To learn more about Haven Hospice, visit our website at www.havenhospice.org
I lost my father to cancer last year and I got to experience first hand the value of Hospice for helping my dad be pain free and helping my family through the transition.
To give you an idea of the amazing things that happen at my work everyday and the power of music, check out this video from one of our care centers that went viral (warning, you may want to get a box of tissues).

I am pleased and excited to announce that the Pearl Jam tribute band PJP (Pearl Jam Project) will be playing during the 2016 Jacksonville Wish List Preparty at the Jacksonville Sports Tavern adjacent to the concert venue on April 13th. The members of PJP are made up of talented local musicians Matt Bevis, Anthony Fishburne and Phil Rao of the local Jacksonville band Chilly Rhino, Jim Murdock and of course yours truly, Boris Kirilloff. Venue stage lighting and sound is being provided by Steve Couch of First Coast Audio Visual. PJP has performed in Jacksonville at charity concerts that have benefited charities like Wounded Warriors, St Johns Riverkeepers and the Innocence Project. This added live music feature to the amazing effort at the Wishlist Pre-Party will, without a doubt, electrify the event even more than planned.

For more information on the PJP, visit their website at: https://www.facebook.com/pearl-jam-project-283708741679121/

  • This will be my first Wishlist party, is there a cover charge that goes to the charity?

No cover charge. We will have things that we will raffle off and the Jacksonville Tavern will be donating part of the proceeds. They are even letting us create a PJ inspired menu.

I am pleased to announce that the "Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation" https://tcjayfund.org/ (Jay Fund) will be the second of two local beneficiaries of the Pearl Jam Jacksonville Wishlist Foundation Preparty Fundraiser. Previously it was announced that the other local beneficiary Haven Hospice has also been chosen. You can learn more about Jay Fund either at their web site noted above or on their Facebook page. I would encourage the attending Pearl Jam fans to visit the "Jay Fund" web site to learn what an amazing charity it is and what amazing work they do in the local community. I have dear friends of mine who you will meet at the preparty who have personally benefited from this charity after learning that their youngest Son was diagnosed with Lukemia at age 2-1/2. It's an amazing story that I will share more with you all over the coming weeks but just know that the outcome was positive and little Liam is thriving after intensive medical care. It was Jay Fund that provided the support for the family as they do for so many local families. We are proud to be able to support this amazing foundation.

Awesome! I'm thinking about driving over early. My girlfriend (who lives in Jax) doesn't get off until after 5:00. I might as well have a couple of beer in the mean time.

Is there parking available for the sports bar?

No clue. I went there once and there is a minor league baseball stadium across the street and the football stadium is near by too. There's also parking on site but someone said that typically opens at 4?
