Most of Pearl Jam's shows are pretty epic, but I won't argue that sometime's they play a show that even goes above their own high bar (soldier field 95, mansfield 03, gorge 05, spectrum, etc..). The thing is you don't really know in advance which show is going to be beyond epic.... It's also getting harder because a 3 hour epic setlist used to be the standout amongst the 2 to 2.5 hour shows. Now that almost every show goes over 3 hours, what would constitute beyond epic? a 4 hour marathon? :)

Ed will be tired of looking at stadium crowds by the time Wrigley rolls around, plus "been there done that before" attitudes from the band....

But they would've gotten close in Wrigley if not for the rain delay

As always I think PJ will make all 4 of these shows special in their own way. Its gonna be really interesting to see what they do over the two shows in each city.

Like at the spectrum (and I'm paraphrasing)- "we are going to play our whole catalogue". A few days later- "we would need six nights to play everything but we will try our best"

I honestly think shows like Bonnaroo , Jazzfest, and this Colorado one will outshine the baseball ones. I get such a cool vibe from those scenarios. Fenway and Wrigley will still be awesome no doubt.
  • They've been "in talks" to play Fenway since '04 when Theo managed the Sox. He goes to Chicago and BAM! I was at that show it was good and I know the rain delay took A LOT of wind ot of people's sails. Fenway will be EPIC and Wrigley will get the show they were supposed to get before the rain hit! EVERYONE WINS!!!

  • All 4 will absolutely be incredible. But I have no doubt that there will be "rank the stadium shows" threads, and people who were at the show that gets ranked last will vigorously defend it. And rightfully so.

Much like the 4 spectrum shows......I was only able to get to night 2. And while I'll admit it was probably the "weakest" of the 4 shows, I still had a fantastic time (amazing tailgating scene, great seats, and a solid all around set).

  • Friday nite at Fenway will be the show of the tour, prediction 37 songs opener LBC.
And The shows I'm seeing this tour are:
    Philly 1-2
    Msg1-2
    Fenway1-2
