    Well, lets just say...

Myself and Ole gimme will make sure your 40th Birthday is a BASH!!!
Ole gimme is very familiar with the PARTIES I throw in Chicago, during Tour Time.

It's not a Chicago show without Speedypalooza. How's Javier these days?
I haven't seen Javier in a while. But last I heard he is doing just fine.

Nice, I'm doing MSG and Philly one for now. We'll see about Philly 2 and Wrigley (I didn't bother with the lottery and tickets today).

I wasn't planning any unless they came to Vancouver/Seattle. Then Wrigley got announced for my Bday and a good friend lives there (Being Canadian, it's an awfully big fluke that only place in the whole USA where one of my friends has moved to is Chicago). So now I'm at 2. I'll also go to any Vancouver/Seattle area shows, but now that I have a few shows this year, I'm ok if those don't happen until next year.

Most people's jaws drop when I tell them that I am going to both nights in Toronto. The insanity of it all!
Jaws drop over 2 in a row? Lol...I'm in California and have to go east for all 8
For ever PJ or Springsteen there's 20 U2's or Metallica's (or their pop music equivalents). Playing different shows on different nights is a really rare thing. Most bands play the same show (give or take a few songs) every night. I like Foo Fighters, U2, Metallica etc.. but I don't feel the need to see them multiple times on a tour. It's the same show. Once per tour, or once every couple of tours is fine. Metallica's setlist seems to have mostly been the same for the past 15 years. I can drop into a show every once and a while and I don't feel like I missed something.

I don't think the general unwashed masses realize that there's a few bands who put on completely different shows every night.

I saw U2 two nights in a row in Toronto last summer. I'm a pretty big U2 fan but found myself a bit bored during the second show (night 1 was great, mind you). I just didn't find it enjoyable hearing pretty much the same show (they did switch in four different songs) two nights in a row. Heck, I had a pretty good idea what they were going to play night #1.

None of the above will be a problem with "my" two Pearl Jam shows....

...unless, heaven help us, they all of a sudden decide to play a fixed setlist!

    Ha. Ha. It'll never happen.

with my luck... they decide to go to a fixed setlist...
naw. you're right. that will never happen with PJ... they would be more bored than the audience.
