Has anyone ever attended a concert at Fenway? Not optimistic about non-field seats.

you are not wrong.lexicondevil said:Doesn't seem like many people read this:
Reserved seated tickets are assigned to members based on seniority in the Ten Club and will start right at the very front of the stage extending up to the lower bowl. Exception: rows 1,2,9,10 of sections on the field immediately in front of the stage will be lottery rows and assigned at random regardless of seniority.
Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but doesn't that mean that anyone who won has a shot at first row regardless of seniority?0 -
Agreed. I'm there for the event and the novelty of seeing them at a historic venue. If I end up with great seats it will be a bonus.NashvillePJfan said:It seems that most people are so pumped about the novelty of the Fenway venue, that they are perfectly fine with seats that are extremely far away with obstructed or suboptimal view. That said, it seems most people who went to Wrigley in 2013 report that they had a great time, even though their seats were "Light Years" from the stage.

I know they said that fanclub seats start in front of the stage and work up to lower bowl. Is it safe to assume that A-C (the field) will be all 10C? I'm not sure how big/how many people those sections hold. Or, would section 75 and 80 be better seats than the backs of section C?JimmyV said:

That's the spirit! We left San Auto during YL to get a leg up on the massive amount of foot traffic (mission failed, we circled the stadium and didn't see the buses, got stuck in the mass...wasn't as bad as Trieste on Sunday night lol, there are probably still people there waiting to catch a lift) and it was just clear as can be with just the same amount of echo, you could actually hear the crowd better!Leezestarr313 said:
We were dancing in the streets when they did the soundcheck the night before in Wrigley. It was so awesome!rgambs said:Speaking of sidewalks, if I got shut out of Fenway or Wrigley I would just tailgate and listen from outside the stadium. No it's not the same, but you can still hear it pretty damn well (it was loud as fuck outside San Siro).
It made me think, at a stadium show, don't fret if you can't get tickets, just go and enjoy some free Pearl Jam.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
People were pulling field seats in the Red Sox presale. My guess is that A2-A6, B2-B6 and the front of C3-C6 are all 10C.CantKeepmedown said:I know they said that fanclub seats start in front of the stage and work up to lower bowl. When I scored Wrigley seats couple years ago I was on the field about 20 rows back from Mike's side....the experience trumped the view, being in Chicago for 3 days and the all around experience is what beats your typical arena show...but that's just my point of view0

People pulled seats in some of the sections you mentioned through the presale. Would be baffled if the band secured that much strictly for fans. Especially considering how many got shut out of Night 1. Believe there will be plenty of floor seats available in the public onsale.shawnb199 said:

Didn't get tickets at all through the lottery and also didn't get any through the presale. Pay the same $$$/year as everyone else to be in this club, so I wouldn't feel particularly bad for you. Mostly cause you don't have to stress as hard about Friday afternoon. That being said, hope everyone on here gets excellent seats some way, somehow.SVRDhand13 said:

Just went and found my Wrigley ticket stub. Section 105 Row 12 to be exact. Best part was the storm came from behind us with the wind blowing away from us, so even though we weren't under cover we were able to stay pretty dry. That was lucky.JimmyV said:I have a 435*** 10c number and won lower bowl seats for Wrigley. Section 104 or 105, in left field for a game but on Mike's side for the show. We weren't close by concert standards but we were by Wrigley standards. I never worried once about it. The experience of being there that night trumped all. I fully expect Fenway to be the same way.

I sort of was as well. Just stressed as all fuck about snagging tickets on Friday. I'd take back row seats from 10C over having to spam the public onsale, knowing full well that it shouldn't be too hard to get what I want. Just hate the anticipation.SVRDhand13 said:

Scored Field Seats (Turf C7) for Friday's show via the Red Sox presale. More than happy with that pull. I'm assuming my 10c tix for Sunday's show (159xxx) will be even better. Extremely stoked!1994 Boston

As bad as my upper bowl seats were for the last Wrigley at least I was not forced to evacuate during the rain storm. There was a big party in the upper deck while all the lucky fans in the field had to camp out indoors.0
-
I was sitting in the upper deck at Wrigley in 2013, so I was pretty far from the stage. It didn't matter. It was still an incredible experience. And Wrigley is a much bigger stadium than Fenway. At Fenway you're pretty much on top of the field no matter where you sit. And if the worst thing about summer 2016 is your seat for PJ at Fenway Park was less than optimal, then you had a helluva summer.NashvillePJfan said:It seems to me that most seats, even Ten Club seats, will be very very bad.
From looking at previous Fenway seating charts, for Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters and Tom Petty, it appears that unless you are in the middle of the field in the first 20 rows or so, your seats are, to put it mildly, horrible.
How horrible?
Well put it this way, it looks like even if you have the "best" lower level non-field tickets at Fenway, they will be far worse than arena seats that are last row of upper deck, farthest section away from the stage. I mean, I wouldn't even call these stadium seats "nosebleeds", whether or not they are high up, they are pretty much miles from the stage with band members looking like ants and the sound indiscernible at best.
It seems that the baseball diamond configuration was meant for baseball only, not concerts with an end stage.
The situation would be slightly better if Pearl Jam did a center stage show. One can hope that they will go center stage for Fenway?
One wonders why the band did not play Solider Field instead of Wrigley Field, or Gillette Stadium instead of Fenway. These football venues, with the narrower field, offer many more good seats than the baseball configuration.
My guess is at Fenway, any lotto winner with a member number 150,XXX or higher is going to be terribly disappointed with their "best in the house" seats.
Of course, all this is speculation based on my review of seating charts. Anyone actually sat in the stands at Fenway for a rock concert?0
