My white whale. Someday, somehow I will get to hear this gem live.
I hope you get it this year man! After 6 shows, I'm still waiting to hear Hail Hail. I'm a bit surprised to have not heard it yet and it's one of my favs.
HTI was the very first PJ song I got to hear live in person. It was a shock at the Roo 08. I still remember the feeling I had. Magic.
I would take this song anywhere in the set. 0 for 11 so far in my concert experiences. Was at St. Paul and Milwaukee in 2014 and I think it got dropped from encore 2 of the Milwaukee show, if I am not mistaken. Would love some of this action for wrigley 1 or 2. However, this band could play anything and I would be happy. I have never left a show disappointed and doubt that I ever could.
I've heard it three times: London 2005 (lost my freaking mind), the Vic, and Calgary 2013. It works anywhere. It needs to come out more often.
Weird, kinda cool story. In 2005 my ex wrote a letter to Eddie Vedder, telling him what a big fan I was, that the band was about to play my hometown (Thunder Bay), and that it'd mean more to me than words could convey if they played "Hard to Imagine." They didn't, but it was on the handwritten setlist. Whether that's because of her letter or not I don't know...but I like to think that it was.

I don't think it will hold up to the hype in a encore, it's my #1 Pearl jam moment I'll never forget. Being on the lawn at Camden and hearing that intro June 19th 2008. It's hard to imagine....
Great hearing it live, I've seen it quite a few times.
I will be negative that when they opened almost every show with it in 08 it got old real quick though, I think we saw 4 or 6 shows that tour. So I guess for me - encore YES!, opener - naw play why go!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
