But I keep coming back to this album again and again. Going to celebrate it's birthday with a listen now.

Yield is what sealed the deal for me. I was big on Vitalogy then not so much on No Code (although I came around....I was most likely more into Soundgarden at that time) but Yield blew me away.

Just took Yield for a cover to cover spin which I haven't done in quite some time. Can someone please point me to a bad song on this amazing F'ing record?? What a masterpiece for a band whose entire catalog is a masterpiece.

I hate push me pull me, although i get the point of the song. That was my least favorite one to cover.

I will need to spin this tonight in celebration. I remember getting this as a senior in HS and spinning it the whole way to an away basketball game with the discman hooked in to the car radio through the tape player :)

I remember that I also bought the issue of Rolling Stone with South Park on the cover, and getting food poisoning that weekend. Such a solid album.

Happy B-Day Yield! I was lucky enough to see it played in it's entirety in Milwaukee.

    Man we're all getting old!

No Code is my favorite PJ album...and album of all time. But, damn....Yield is up there as well. I learned how to play the guitar by playing along with these 2 albums in my dorm room & first apartment. When I played my first live show in 1999, I opened with Low Light and closed the set with Off He Goes. I still play along with these albums all the time. It's fun to switch from lead to rhythm...or to find your own little pocket in there and some additional color to the song.

When this video came out, it floored me. I'd never seen anything like it. I only wish the lyrics weren't so relevant today. Happy bday, Yield!

Such an under appreciated video and a song that continues to remain relevant more so than any other over the last 19 years. I'm still riveted every time I watch that video.

I remember in the parking lot some guy talking crap and trying to start something. He ended up on the ground being forced to apologize in front of his girlfriend  Afterwards i walked right in and bought Yield. Brain of J never sounded so good blasting from a car.

Cheers to you February 3, 1998

To bad the studio version is so "subdued" and lacks the punch of the live version.

    Great video though.

is it true they contacted Todd McFarlane after Eddie had seen some of HBO:s Spawn series?
